Excellent Reiki book,
By
This review is from: Reiki For Dummies (Paperback)
I have read quite a number of Reiki books and this one is hands down the best all-around Reiki book that I have come across. It answered every single question that I have on Reiki. What I liked about it the most was the lack of "my way" in this book. Several ways of achieving the same goal are offered here so you are free to find your own style or method. So much information is packed into this book. Yes, the 4 symbols are included here and also several non-traditional symbols, including Karuna. You will not get attuned with this book, a Reiki Master Teacher must do that, but this book will be extremely helpful before and after being attuned to Reiki energy.

Whether you have taken Reiki classes, received Reiki, or want to understand what Reiki is...this is the book for you. Clear and exact information for the well versed and the novice. I suggest this book for anyone with any desire to understand Reiki from the Root to the Crown.

plain English,

I am newly attuned to Reiki I and needed a comprehensive guide. This book is written in plain English without a lot of spiritual gibberish which tends to make Reiki seem that it is accessible only to gurus and New Age devotees. Covers everything, well orgainized and readable, and the appendices provide lots of resources for those who want to dig more deeply into Reiki study and practice.

Very informative,

This reference book has a lot of little tidbits of information that some books will skip over or not go into enough detail for the regular person, like me, to be able to understand. Highly recommend it for someone who wants to broaden their learning.

I normally don't like dummies books but this is one of the best ones I have seen. I would recommend it to anyone thinking of getting into Reiki or who is just curious about healing, meditation or visualization type practices.

The format of this book on Reiki is excellent. As a Reiki Master Teacher, I wouldn't use it as my first or only source of info for classes, but I would recommend it to students.

I have read other books on Reiki but this one is the best. As a newbie to Reiki I feel this book absolutely covers anything you might want to know about this subject. The other books I have read omit certain information which I find irritating. This book delivers all!

As a Reiki master practioner, I ordered the book out of curiousity. What could possibly be in this book that a person could learn without being attuned? I found that the book was informative and surprisingly easy to read.

Easy to understand, down to earth,
This review is from: Reiki For Dummies (Paperback)
I wasn't expecting to like this book, but I did for the most part. This is a good read for those curious about Reiki and wanting to know more about it. There are no instructions for passing attunements, but there is information on what to expect and what Reiki does. Some areas of information covered are symbols both traditional and non-traditional (the symbols are shown), information on giving and receiving treatments, the body's energy system, running a practice, meditation, distance Reiki, group Reiki, crystals and using crystals, finding a Reiki practitioner, suggestions for everyday uses for Reiki, integrating Reiki into medical care, some of the Reiki branches and Reiki organizations, and a handy glossary. It was an easy read. Some of the stories and info in the boxes made me wince a bit, but outside of that the book had a lot of good information.
