This is the Reiki book you've been waiting for! It is really comprehensive, well written, easy to understand, and useful for anyone with an interest in Reiki, from beginners right up to Reiki Masters. It gives a good grounding in energy theory and the metaphysical causes of illness, plenty of basic information about how Reiki was discovered, how it has developed in the West and in Japan, and what the training involves at each level. However, its main strength is the way it explains how to use Reiki at each level, including all the hand positions and lots of advanced Second Degree techniques you won't find in any other book, plus creative uses for Reiki like enhancing your psychic ability and healing past lives. It includes some vital information about the need for energy cleansing and protection, plus many additional techniques from the Reiki traditions in Japan. Added to that, it emphasises the importance of spiritual development with Reiki, suggests how to manage Reiki sessions and set up as a professional Practitioner, advises on how to become a Reiki Master, and gives brief details of 28 different Reiki systems! It's an easy read, but an amazing resource that you'll want to go back to again and again - definitely the best Reiki book ever!

Penelope Quest's book is a very in depth and insightful book for anyone interested in not only learning about Reiki, but for those teachers that are interested in using an additional text to their own materials. I use this book with students both in person and distance. All have found it very helpful in explaining the concepts as well as the actual practice of Reiki. I would highly recommend this book!!

I am new to Reiki, having a million and one questions about the healing energy and how to use it. My main focus is helping animals with Reiki, but this book is a wonderful resource, filled with information that helps you understand Reiki, understand the attunements, and gives you lots of information about practicing Reiki. I enjoyed the additional uses information, such as giving Reiki to your plants, trees, appliances, and lots of other things. I plan on trying some of these additional uses along with practicing Reiki on myself and family and friends. If you are looking for a great resource, then get this book! You will not be disappointed.

I am currently a level 2 reiki healer and this book taught me a lot of new ways to use reiki. In fact I think this book is nearly an essential for all reiki students and teachers. This would be a great book to include with reiki classes. The book shows you how to construct a crystal grid for sending constant reiki for chronic illnesses or other issues you or someone else needs healing with. It also includes sections on useing reiki for psychic developement, spiritual growth and protection from negative energy and safe traveling. Its a great book for all levels of reiki healers.

I loved this book. It was an informative, easy read. I felt the book covered both some of the commonly found basics as well as some good, practical uses for integrating Reiki into your daily life. I think this is a great addition to any practitioner's referenced materials.

I happened to find this book at my local library. I'm glad that I did as I found this book to be excellent compared to many reiki books that I read so far. Extremely thorough and detailed, and you can tell the author's positive intention all throughout the book, for you to become a better practitioner. I love her style of writing, never pushy or never brag about her ability like some other authors do. It has detailed hand positions and covers every details of reiki to learn. She has extensive knowledge on the Usui original reiki from Japan, and teaches you many traditional techniques from Japan. A must have for your library!

I read her book in preparation to my Level 1 Reiki Attunement and it gave me great insight on what to expect and the importance of cleansing and self protection.Now I feel I am ready to begin my 2nd level attunement.

Before and after being Reiki atuned, I have read many books on Reiki from the library. In my opinion of all the books I read, Reiki for Life by Penelope Quest was the best. This book explained the techniques and is helpful in creating one's own techniques. This is the book on Reiki I am now purchasing to keep in my library for reference.

Wonderful book with so much wonderful information on how to really do a great job at Reiki for God and for your clients, friends, family, yourself. Well worth the money and really has a wonderful amount of great information that I found to be invaluable. I don't think anyone would be disappointed in this book but if they are then they don't want to do their best for Reiki and that is a shame and they shouldn't do Reiki under those circumstances.

This is a good guide for Reiki beginners as well as the more experienced practitioner. Well written....a wealth of information.
