A Reiki Students Textbook,
By
This review is from: The Reiki Teacher's Handbook (Spiral-bound)
When I was in the university I remember judging the course I was about to undertake by the quality of the books the professor selected for the course. Well hats off to Teri Moore. Finally a comprehensive and professional text to accompany a course of instruction in Reiki. Ms. Moore has provided, in a well laid out manner, the aspects of Reiki that would be covered by the majority of Reiki I courses. The artwork is original and high quality, the text itself is excellent and understandable and there is ample room to take notes during the classes or as you read the book. As with all Reiki, it can't be passed on by a book and this is a great choice for any teacher to offer with a course or for any student anticipating Reiki training. Thank you Teri.

Fantastic resource for reiki teachers everywhere. I don't know what the complaint below is about, My cover was laminated (maybe she got one that slipped by the publisher) and as for site advertising - the author has her website listed in the margins along with the book title and isbn. Big deal! The information contained here is well worth the cost and a recommended resource for every teacher out there.

Great Resource, Awful Cover Stock, Site Advertising,

While I would recommend this resource to any Reiki teacher, and find the contents very applicable and useful, and well worth the money, I am quite dismayed by the cover stock. The covers are unprotected thick sheets of paper, perhaps a 100 # stock. At least protect the covers, will ya? I'm having the covers of my copy of this book laminated to help protect it. I invested enough in this and it deserves to be cared for. Too bad the author, agent, et al doesn't feel the same way.And get over yourself already! One or two links to your website Teri is more than enough, but on *every single odd numbered page*? And again on *both* the front and back covers? Makes this resource seem more like one huge self-promoting advertisement. If it weren't for the unprotected covers and the incessent self-promotion indicated by the excessive display of the web link, this book would *easily* have scored 5 plus stars! Regardless of my nits, this book is a good resource which I'll recommend (though I will recommend other Reiki teachers buy a good, clean, *used* copy. I just don't see the point of paying someone to throw their web address in my face every single time I turn a page). |
