Editorial Reviews

Review

"Numerous anecdotal reports exist from people who have glimpsed . . . events and activities that occurred before they were born. Whether these glimpses represent past-life memories, archetypes of the psyche, or metaphors of current life activities, they can be linked with and evoked by Reincarnation Cards . . . what the authors call for is a fresh look at consciousness ... the pattern of awareness, intention, and reflection that permeates the cosmos . . . this stunning, consciousness-expanding work." --Stanley Krippner, Ph.D., Professor of Psychology, Saybrook Graduate School, San Francisco

"Something genuinely new under the sun! A fascinating and potentially valuable tool for developing self-knowledge and for confronting life problems and patterns that otherwise resist resolution." --John Anthony West, author of Serpent in the Sky, lecturer, guide and originator of the Age of the Sphinx controversy

"The guidelines are easy to follow, the journey is interesting, and I encourage you to take and enjoy it." --Ryan Bell, Psychic-Magic Review, Dec. 2009

What it is is a well researched examination of the idea of reincarnation.

And no one wants to see that come up in the cards, I just hate to use this deck now because of it.

Awakening Far Memory, with a subtitle of Reincarnation Cards is a set of 61 color cards drawn in simple, but appealing style. The cards are approximately 4x6-large photograph size. There are 5 different sets of cards, designated by color and symbol on the back.
The different categories of cards represent: (white/square) occupation, (indigo/circle) culture, (green/diamond) environment, (red/cross) theme (life purpose), and (purple/infinity) termination (how you died). They are medium quality stock and have a matt finish.

The book that accompanies this deck is hard backed and covered with indigo fabric. It is 204 pages in length. This book has an introduction and begins with evidence to support the theory of reincarnation, including reference. This information is followed by sections describing the benefits of researching past lives, historical evidence of human origins, along with a "How To" section and a page for each card and its meaning. There is an Afterward, Glossary, Selected bibliography (reincarnation and general), Resource List for Further Research and a page about each author. Each card is printed in black and white with a good description of what the drawings represent. The card pages are categorized to match the 5 types of cards--each section including an introduction.

The entire deck and cards come in a good quality cardboard box printed in color with some of the cards and the book shown on the front. The caption says: "Discover yourself! Remember what you were and who are! Remember past and future incarnations! Wake up from the dream of life!" It also includes a blurb that says: "Something genuinely new under the sun!

This is the best book that I have ever read that assists you in the journey of finding your past lives. The information that is included in this book is well written and clearly understandable. I am amazed at the intellecual theory in this book! I would highly suggest that you wake up your memories with these cards. Every few days I bring them out and add more information to my journal and it is incredible how all of a sudden you start having a picture of a previous life!

Buddhism is founded upon a belief in reincarnation and that past lives influence how one is born into their present life. Past life regression is a metaphysical belief that we can access our past lives. Now Ger Maa Publishers of Cypress have published a book-and-card set "Reincarnation Cards: Awakening Far Memory", the collaborative effort of John Knowles and Linda Leblanc, to help by providing tools that anyone seeking to recover forgotten memories of previous incarnations and past life experiences. The informative hardcover book and the sixty-one full-color illustrated cards are specifically designed to evoke intuitive responses in a personal quest for past life access. Now distributed by Lucky Press for the United States, "Reincarnation Cards: Awakening Far Memory" is a unique and enthusiastically recommended addition to Metaphysical Studies reference collections in general, and the personal libraries of non-specialist general readers with an interest in reincarnation and past life therapies.

You will know you have something special in your hands when you first hold the box that encompasses the book AWAKENING FAR MEMORY and the beautifully crafted REINCARNATION CARDS that accompany it. But proceed slowly, for you'll want to place yourself in the proper frame of mind when you start to work with the cards. Yes, I said work. As the authors remind us, the cards are not a type of game but a powerful tool offering insight and knowledge into "the circumstances of other apparent embodiments".

But that's not to say that the book is extremely deep. What it is is a well researched examination of the idea of reincarnation. By slowly investing us with knowledge on this subject we are given the chance to weigh our current believes with what the authors proffer. This works superbly as a lead up to how you use the cards.

Having a desire to find out where and what we may have been in a previous incarnation usually goes hand in hand with bits of mystery about our current embodiement. What you say, you have no bits of mystery? Well much to your delight when you've chosen a card from each of the five groups and go back to read about their basic meanings, questions will be answered that you haven't even asked.

So, find a quiet time and place and bring the book and the cards. Should you choose, add your pendulum to these and maybe even a little incense to create a "far memory" mood. Let your mind take in the information and combine it with some personal resonance. Becoming one with the Universe it's past, present, and future will ensure that secrets are revealed to help in this incarnation and those to come.

I love these cards. The book was clearly written and well researched. They describe different time periods, different circumstances of your life, primary concern in that life, town, and method of death. The cards are color coded by purple, blue, red, green and white. I have found it to be useful to get past life information for myself and clients.
Although the author suggests using a pendulum to pick cards, I find the Law of attraction works with you drawing a card with a question firmly in your mind. A nice, easy to use tool that is not flashy or overpriced. In the genre of card decks, which is becoming big business, this is refreshing.
