Another true classic from Mark Moulton with a wonderful storyline, lyrical narrative and incredibly beautiful artwork by Karen Good. Scarecrow Pete was my first introduction to these books and this, plus The Secret Santa of Olde Stonington, will complete all the Moulton books I have purchased for a collection for my grandchildren.

...but it probably won't because there's nothing glitzy or gimmicky about it. It's just a lovely, sensitive story that involves down-to-earth characters,all the most beautiful aspects of the natural world,and just a touch of magic, combined with charming illustrations that should really draw a child into this idealized universe. As a person who feels that children don't interface with nature as much as they should these days, I found this book very heartening, and even very enjoyable reading,though I'm a good deal older than the grandchild I bought it for!

"Reindeer Christmas," what a beautiful presentation and story. I am holding it until December when I surprise my two grandchildren one evening. They are going to be sooo excited, and it will probably be a story that will be read many times this holiday and those to come. You cannot go wrong with this beautiful book! Enjoy.

A delightful saga of a reindeer and the family that helps it! The illustrations are beautiful and the poetry of the text is pleasant. Although the book is not religious, I was particularly pleased with Christ being mentioned in this Christmas tale. The story and graphics flow well together, making this a fun book to read with your children. Two thumbs up!

My granddaughter (age 6) loves this book and has enjoyed it for two Christmas seasons. It is a heartwarming story and encourages children to love and have empathy for forest animals. We live in a wildlife preserve, so it is especially relevant to her.
