Product Description

RKS is a full body workout that increases ones strength, endurance, flexibility and cardiovascular conditioning, all while simultaneously melting away unwanted body fat. Unlike other Cardio centric programs RKS is the first complete kettlebell system to provide the user with expert kettlebell instruction, "Kettlebells provide a much higher-intensity workout than standard weight-training routines and offer superior results in a short amount of time." 16 unique workouts that will transform your body over a 4 week program. "A person can easily burn several hundred calories in a brief period of time using these iron orbs, which makes them appealing to those looking for time-efficient results." Also, the RKS 30-minute training program only uses one kettlebell, making this the most versatile, well-rounded, completely portable gym anywhere. With weekly challenges built into the program, the user will also have a way to gauge progress over the training period.

1.0 out of 5 stars do the other reviewers work for the company ? October 4, 2011

very disappointing , this workout system is horrible, the trainer shows absolutely no personality through out the workouts , taking your health seriously is one thing but you should always enjoy what your doing to improve it , also there is more poor form shown in these videos then any other I have ever seen , Doug Reinhardt (the guy who's name is on this thing seems to have no idea how to swing K.B.s the worst was watching him snatch his forearms musta been bruised for weeks after filming this , also this system relies very heavily on swings ,which are a great move, however I dont need to work along with a dvd for 20 mins of nothing but swings, one last gripe ,apparently these 2 guys seem to think that women are only capable of doing pushups on their knees and performing K.B. swings instead of snatches or high pulls or anything a little more difficult , if I were a woman I would have been pretty insulted by that . if you want to learn about kettle bells I would suggest saving some money and getting the skogg system or the TRX videos with Pavel Tsatsouline (if you have a suspension trainer TRX or RIP:60 )in closing I have to say the best thing about this was the 30 day money back guarantee which they did stand by and return my money pretty quickly .

5.0 out of 5 stars Does the negative reviewer work for a competitor? January 29, 2012

The RKS workout videos are a breath of fresh air in the exercise video market! First and most importantly, the workouts give you a great workout in a short amount of time. Each workout is different, which goes a long way in keeping your interest and commitment to regular workouts. Also, when I started this program it was my first experience with kettle bells. I think it is great for beginners, as you get better in form and strength, you can up your weights and cycle through the program again. I also have other reference material including Pavel's for checking the finer points of proper form. I have really not found any problems with form in the RKS video, but I don't claim to be an expert.

That aside, the really great thing about these videos is the extraordinary quality of the production and the personality of the instructor. No cheesy instructors included here! If you're familiar with the P90 videos, then you know what I mean about cheesy "boys and girls." The first P90 was bad enough, but man, P90X takes cheese to a whole other level of annoyance. Rest assured, you will find absolutely NONE of that with the RKS system! The instructor simply and cordially instructs and motivates in a professional and likeable manner - nothing more, nothing less.

2.0 out of 5 stars Very pretty but pretty boring January 19, 2013

16 workouts in one package seems like a dream come true for any kettlebell enthusiast. The production level is outstanding particularly the LA hills location with a stunning panorama of LA (day and night)in the background.

Unfortunately like so many products of hollywood, the pretty facade can't hide the lack of substance. All of the workouts are highly repetitive involving a cycle of 2-4 exercises that your are supposed to do as many times as you can if 10-20 minutes. The warm up and cooldown are the same for each workout. 4 of the dvds are not even full blown workouts but rather "Challenge Days" where you are supposed to again do 2-3 exercises as many times as you can in 15 minutes. I read in a LA biz magazine that it cost them $1m to produce this project. You would think with a million dollars they could have devoted some resources to the actual workouts.

I suggest cobbling your own series of kettlebell workouts together. Lauren Brooks Dvds are excellent. Each has a 15 and 40 minute workout on them and her Kettlebell Lightning dvd has 4 quick workouts. Also checkout Dasha Libin's Scorcher Series that has 4 dvds (3 involve kbells) that combine kbells with some kickboxing and pylometrics.

I was expecting more - I found the routines boring. For the price and other reviews I thought it would have been better. I was disappointed with this purchase.
