Product Description

"You're what?"

Thea Benedict had been about to--honest to God--tell her ex-lover Johnny Griego she was pregnant. Until Johnny's teenage daughter beat her to it with her big news!

Thea knew Johnny wasn't a happily-ever-after kind of guy. And now he had his little girl's impending motherhood to think about. So you could have knocked Thea over when the sexy rancher asked her to be his wife! She should have guessed Johnny was the type to do the right thing by her. Except Thea had some crazy notion about marrying for love...

5.0 out of 5 stars Good way to spend the afternoon!, August 15, 2010

Templeton had such a good vision of her female character, Thea. She had just the right amount of snarkiness and love. Also, Rachel, the daughter, was an excellent character, too.

Thea, Johnny's ex gf and Rachel, Johnny's teen daughter find out they are both pregnant at the same time. Rachel's comment about how it was great that they were expecting babies at the same time was hilarious, and the high school graduation scene was hysterical. Well worth the read.

Some of Templeton's one liners were very funny, especially the one about Johnny's ex wearing enough silver and turquoise jewelry to keep a reservation afloat for months:)

More About the Author

I'm a multi-published romance/women's fiction author for Harlequin/Silhouette and Red Dress Ink who loves to write about real people dealing with the drama (and humor) of everyday life. I've been a voracious reader since I was four, still manage to read a book or two a week despite having five sons and a full-time writing career.

My 'reviews' are more 'recommendations', since I don't post reviews about books that don't ring my chimes. I tend to be drawn to women's fiction and mainstream family drama most often, with some mysteries tossed in for balance. For a book to 'work' for me, I have to find the characters appealing and believeable; the prose must be compelling and well-crafted; and it doesn't hurt if there's a good dollop of humor somewhere along the line.

Fave authors include Jeanne Ray, Terry McMillan, Anne Tyler, Janet Evanovitch, Curtiss Ann Matlock, Marsha Moyers, Marion Keyes, Sophie Kinsella, Jennifer Crusie, and Susan Elizabeth Phillips.
