Carnivore reintroduction,

This review is from: Reintroduction of Top-Order Predators (Conservation Science and Practice) (Paperback)
The issues of reintroducing large carnivores and other predators will become increasingly controversial -- from the conservationists to the human 'neighbors' next to any reintroduced population. Most top-order predators are carnivores with a reputation for wanton destruction, loss of livestock, aggressive behavior towards humans, etc. These are legitimate concerns that must be addressed. The various authors in this book have taken these issues into consideration as well as detailing the procedures of reintroduction. Several 'case studies' are presented to illustrate past reintroduction programs. Overall, this is an excellent book on a topic of increasing interest.
