One of the worst books I ever come across. Intellectually dishonest and one-sided in its views. The readers would be better served with a title like: "Reinventing the economy - My way" instead of "Reinventing the economy - The Third way". Take a look at this piece of prose:" Some alternative economic system is needed, one with the welfare gains of the Keynnesian Social-Democratic consensus, and with the productive efficiency that the new right has sought to create." Finally somebody has discovered how to "keep the cake and eat it" simultaneously |
