If you love great printing this is the book for you. Packed full of outstanding portfolios this book looks at the revival of an old and beautiful method of printing and re-acquaints us with impression, beautiful papers, and innovative productions of mostly small press works. I was a letterpress printer who moved on in my career to art and art teaching but I never lost my love for interesting printed sheets. I would badger friends visiting India and other countries for examples of "folk printing' and kept my hand in as well. It is therefore a real joy to see this revival, and this well produced modestly priced book coming along at this important time for Letterpress. The examples are well chosen and the notes are concise descriptions of each example. There are not too many books on this subject, and this is a fine addition, or starting point for a small gathering of books on the subject. A must for art school libraries too.
