About the Author

Hello, My name is Heather! I am a mom of three, married to a firefighter, and I am a writer. In 2005 I ventured into the online world to simply start an online community for moms. Little did I know the adventure God had in store for me. It has been a roller coaster with many ups and downs, but each step has led me to where I am today. I pray this is a place where you will find encouragement and maybe even a laugh or two. My heart is to share God’s word with you in a loving and practical way.

Rejection is very common in our world, especially among sensitive people. The author hits her subject head-on, linking it with perfection and pride. (Wow... and we, the rejected, thought we were the victims!). I liked the book's directness and conciseness as Heather asks pointed questions to her readers. The author helps those experiencing rejection walk through scripture to heal and strengthen one's position in Christ as they also examine their own life to see if they are rejecting anyone.

This easy-to-read study would make a wonderful study for a newly organized group of women or just a four week devotional study. I recommend it for anyone feeling unimportant or forgotten in the body of Christ. Thanks for writing it.

Carol G. Stratton, author of the forty-day devotional for movers called: Changing Zip Codes: Finding Community Wherever You're Transplanted (Volume 1)Changing Zip Codes: Finding Community Wherever You're Transplanted.

This study is exactly what I needed. I have dealt with rejection of all sorts for a long time and have let it keep me from living a full life in God. This study is short but packs a a big punch. The study walks you through the path of healing, forgiveness and journey towards acceptance.

This eBook is a wonderful study for everyone! It encourages you and helps you learn to accept yourself and the plan that God has for your life. One thing I love is at the end of each chapter she shares how to apply what you've just studied in your life, a memory verse for the week, daily activities to help you learn it, and discussion questions.

The author's style is very personal and informal, making the book more approachable and "user-friendly." The application sections will help people genuinely struggling with issues of rejection, and they are easy to make part of your day. It's a quick read for someone who wants to begin her journey of healing from rejection.

Whether you go through this book by yourself and in a group, it will give you a lot of thought provoking content. Rejection is such a relevant topic today and so many experience the pain and hurt that comes with it. I appreciate the author's willingness to be real and vulnerable with her own struggles with rejection and yet always bring us back to what God's word says.

Each week comes with an application step, scripture to memorize with an action step for each day and three group discussion questions. It is not an indepth bible study with fill in the blanks, but does goes deep with the content.

Great topic and study...I recommended it!

Rejected focuses on a topic that most people deal with - Rejection. Heather pursues reasons why, and results of rejection in a person's life while offering the opposite - acceptance. This is a good study for anyone ministering to those who have a low self concept.

This study lesson made me look at rejection at a whole new light! I have been rejected in my life, but I try to denounce it lasting effects on my life. However, this study made me realize how I was rejecting others not even knowning it. After reading this book, I had to ask the Lord for forgiveness and ask him to create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me. So, I will not willing or unwilling reject the people He has place in my life either for my good or for their good! As a Christian, I should be a beacon of light and not the outlet for satan! So,I thank you so much Mrs. Bixler for blessing me and showing me the error of my ways!

I chose to give Heather five stars because I felt that she really understood and was speaking from her experiences and yet admitted that she was still working on how to handle rejection from people yet! See? And I feel this book helps one feel encouraged that they can learn and may have to keep learning how to deal with rejection but she gives us reinforcements to help one have a chance to know that they can win and feel god' s love always! all this I liked very much! Great job, Heather! I recommend this book to others who have felt rejected now,or in the past.
Also for those who know someone dear to them who are/ or have been rejected as a great gift and shared with that individual that they and God are behind them encouraging and telling and actually praying for that person even after and especially after giving them this book till that person is able to deal with the enemy attacking them as they earn how to go about doing just what this author has shared in this book and can see that this person is winning the battle. Thank you Heather for giving me this book to read and then to be able to share how this book can also help them! By Angela L.
