Rejoice and Be Merry: Christmas with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square Featuring The King Singers

The King's Singers join The Mormon Tabernacle Choir on this latest Christmas CD, and it is wonderful from beginning to end. I've long been an admirer of The King's Singers, with their wide-ranging repertoire and cheeky, dry humor. And they have several stand-out performances here, both with the Choir and on their own. I love especially their rapid-fire take on "Jingle Bells" and the lovely "La peregrinación." The Choir sounds absolutely glorious here as well, from the soaring "The First Nowell" to the brand-new processional "Rejoice and Be Merry". But my favorite tracks are those where the two groups join forces - most especially on the new Mack Wilberg setting of "O Holy Night" which is ...transcendent. Here's the full track listing:

I have numerous Christmas CDs but find myself listening to this one most often. Both groups are superb, both individually and when they sing together. Some of the carols are so beautiful they can bring you to tears.

Once again, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir doesn't disappoint. This is probably the best Christmas CD I own! Their version of "The Twelve Days of Christmas" is priceless!

I attended this concert and I was blown away with the sound. The CD is a excellent reproduction of the concert. I have listened to this on several different quality speakers and headphones and it sounds transcendent. I normally do not enjoy classical or choir music, but this has become my new favorite Christmas album, topping all 5 CDs of Sufjan Steven's Songs for Christmas.

This is a beautiful album. Wilberg's arrangement of "Still, still, still" performed by the King's singers and the Tabernacle Choir brings me to tears every time. The harmony is breathtaking. This album is a great addition to your Christmas collection.

This is my new favorite Christmas CD! I love the energy and feeling of Christmas this brings to me! Thank you thank you! I recommend it to the world!

The King Singers plus the Mormon Tabernacle Choir are amazing. My all-time favorite is O Holy Night--it brings me to tears every time I listen to it. This music is fun but also reminds me of the real meaning of Christmas.

This CD was perfect background music for Christmas gatherings. Very colorful arrangements. A perfect addition to your Christmas music library!

I actually attended this concert in Salt Lake City. It was just spectacular. My Dad loved listening to the King Singes, so I think of him a little when I heat this CD. The DVD is as well just as awesome. The King Singers voices together with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir create such an amazing sound. My favorite is O Holy Night which teared me up a bit at the concert as it is just stunning.

Absolutely, beautiful renditions of beloved Christmas music. I love their arrangements. Heavenly sounding voices. A true treasure as all the other recordings I have purchased of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Although I am not a Mormon, I must say, these people can sing and glorify God as few others can.
