All content, no filler. Brilliant introduction to sponsorships, especially for authors/artists/businesses who haven't considered this option before. I personally spent countless hours and thousands of dollars learning these tricks of the trade. Roberto tells you everything you need to get started without wasting a second of your time.

What this author has written in a word is PHENOMENAL! When I was running a nonprofit many years ago, this could have gotten me through all those frustrating times when dealing with sponsorships and not understanding why we were turned down. This book explains in detail (without overwhelming the reader) the Who, What, When, Where and Why of Corporate sponsorships and how it can be a win/win situation. I appreciate how he took the time to encourage the reader to stop and have that cup of coffee, talk with the sponsor and really find out what they need. There is so much valuable information in this book, I will be recommending it to colleagues in the for-profit and non-profit sector as well. It literally is a tool that you can refer back to for years to come.

This is an informative book on securing funding for your organization that not only explains how to get your foot in the door and convince companies to sponsor your organization or event, but also how to manage and retain that relationship and renew the sponsorship.

I liked the way the book was structured and found the checklists and questionnaires useful. They're a good reference you can return to later as you work through the steps of the process.

Mr. Candelaria obviously has a wealth of experience in the field of corporate sponsorships and his enthusiasm shows through in the writing.

This is a comprehensive guide to getting sponsorships for your event. Candelaria gives complete details on what to do, how to approach sponsorship requests, even how to find the right people to talk to. He provides descriptive explanations of different types of sponsorship, media usage, how to manage the actual request meeting, creating the sponsorship agreement, tracking the results and using them for future sponsorship requests.

The book is beautifully written and a pleasant read. In short, this is a must-have book for any organization seeking to generate or provide sponsorships.

We've been hosting events for years on our own dime. I always knew we should be soliciting sponsors but I had no idea where to start, we are a small business with a simple message "who would be interested in sponsoring our event?" It always seemed like a very daunting task. How do you get to the right person, how do you break down the barriers?
Once I read through Relationships Raise Money I decided to put aside my reservations and follow the recommendations, the first step was putting the plan into action and guess what it works! We are getting ready to host an event in a few months and now I have more sponsors than we need. Read the book, follow the steps and take action. Thank you for laying out the steps in a simple to understand process that anybody can do.

I am the Executive Director of a non-profit who is brand new to fundraising. What's so great about this book is it explains the psychology behind getting corporate sponsors and takes the quess work out of approaching companies for money. The 10 Point Sponsor Value Checklist is wonderful and each chapter in the book supports sponsorship processes in an easy-to-understand and very practical way. I'm extremely busy and Relationships Raise Money is an invaluable tool that spells out exactly what I have to do. I highly recommend this book to anyone in the profit or non-profit world wanting to create corporate sponsorships as part of their funding strategy.
