Jung and other psychological symbolists are utilized to probe the archetypal images of relationships and patterns of violence and recovery which permeate male/female interactions. While Valcarenghi's approach provides an almost philosophical approach to psychology, the focus on Jungian archetypes and relationships is still powerful to appeal to college-level students of psychology. -- Midwest Book Review
