Book Description

August 11, 2010
"From the title, I thought this was a book to help me deal with my brother's bi-polar disorder, because he's spiraling down very quickly and I needed immediate assistance. He's dead now, but man, this book was funny!" --Adam Heath Avitable, author of Avitable.com "This book is good birth control. It will also make you laugh like hell. You should buy it because it's hard to find that kind of combination without a medical prescription." --Jenny Lawson, TheBloggess.com "Shauna Glenn is from that rare breed of authors who can make you laugh until you cry even when she's writing about the most raw and visceral human emotions. Driven by heart and hilarity, RELATIVE INSANITY might just be Shauna's best novel yet." --Danny Evans, author of RAGE AGAINST THE MESHUGENAH

About the Author

Shauna Glenn lives in Fort Worth, Texas with her four kids--three girls and a boy.   She is not great at anything but good at several things, like cooking, sewing and power shopping.  She has a vast knowledge of things that a regular person might find completely useless and a waste of time, like any and all things related to celebrities and the birthdays of people she went to school with over twenty years ago.  Her passion is designer handbags and Mexican food, and her favorite alcohol treat is a tall glass of Pinot Grigio.  In her opinion, writing is cheaper than therapy, but she has decided that all proceeds from her book sales will go directly into a "future therapy" fund for her children.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic!, September 28, 2010
This review is from: Relative Insanity (Paperback)
Absolutely hilarious book! I have laughed thru the entire thing. Some of it actually sounds like a chapter from my own life. Hm. Maybe I shouldn't have been laughing. How sad. :-)
Either way I downloaded this on Kindle, and had a very hard time putting it down. Fantastic!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great read!, August 22, 2010
This review is from: Relative Insanity (Paperback)
From the very first few sentences, I found myself completely involved with Kate and her family. Reading Relative Insanity was less like reading a novel and more like listening to your best friend tell you about her life, or like reading her diary. I couldn't put it down!
