MORNING RAIN is one of the most inspiring pieces of music & nature. It's where heavenly serenity meets Earth, and a person can walk, not run, into it.

But imagine yourself caught running by the rain, then taking a detour into a forest -- when suddenly, nearing an opening in its canopy, the sun begins to shine through the clouds. It floods you with glow as bouncing rain caught on your face sparkles. You stop running and feel an intense, personal oneness in being surrounded by sounds of nature: Birds chirping and raindrops falling to make a leafy, pattering, xylophone symphony of sounds - You're pleasantly captured by the prolonged enjoyment it brings along with an unsolicited solitude; and as the clouds move around the morning sun, never stopping its glow ... you're content with paradise's grasps at your inner being.

Then, as the prolonged bliss fades just a little, something else arrives heralding the haunting sounds of another microcosm - A sound from the Amazon Jungle that bellows the existence of other people far off as EVENING THUNDER rolls into your ears to awaken you from near slumber with its distant symphony - And you suddenly find yourself returning home.

THAT is Spring Showers.

This relaxation CD would be perfect for a masseuse. When I have trouble relaxing before going to sleep, I play this CD and have more restful sleep. This is among the best Relaxation CD's out there.

All the CDs I have purchased that are supposed to be rain forest or showers relaxation recordings have bad bad terrible New Age instrumentals.

Any recommendations, please?

I was very excited about receiving this CD, given the reviews I read. Sadly enough, I was very dissappointed. What I experienced in listening to "Evening Thunder" and "Spring Showers" was very different from what I expected. I expected to hear soft rain and intermixed with intermittent rolls of thunder. I heard one roll of thunder the first minute, and what may have been the sound of rain. I had to strain to listen to analyze the audio output. Within one minute, the accompanying music over powered any other sound I was suppose to hear. I had to strain to listen to analyze what I was hearing. It was like trying to hear an answer from someone you are calling to in a house with music on, and you are not quite sure if what you hear is water running in the shower. At first the music was soothing-with its absence of beat and flowing cresendos and fadings of different instruments; but then, it too, became repetitive and predictable-like a loop recording of music. After 20 consecutive minutes of this, I gave up. The same happened during "Spring Showers." A strain to try to hear the rain and the birds. It seemed like the nature effects were making a very weak effort of accompanying the music. Given the other reviews, am I missing something?

Another great album by David Miles Huber (51 bits per second), see at: www.51bpm.com, really great for sleep inducement. I think he is one of the bests in genere.
