Relaxing River: River Sounds White Noise Nature CD

This is the most relaxing and pleasant CD of its type I have ever listened to. I like the sound of falling and gurgling water, but tabletop fountains are expensive and somewhat annoying to maintain, and eventually you start to hear the sound of the motor over the falling water. This CD is also superior to the white-noise machines I've tried because the sound quality is much higher and there is no discernible loop on the recording. I put it on my iPod and it helps me calm down and fall asleep every single time I listen to it. The "white noise" the manufacturers say they blended in with the sounds of the water is not conspicuous; it just makes for a bit fuller and richer sound.

I have at least 3 river sounds CD's and this one is definitely the best. No bird sounds in the background that sometimes irritates people. It's strictly rushing water and the white noise is not noticeable at all. The sound quality is excellent. I've seldom stayed awake all the way to the end. Highly recommend this one!

I have a hard time sleeping and wake up at little noises. I have used an earplug, but still didn't sleep well. I decided to try some white noise and chose the river because whenever I am near a river or stream the noise makes me sleepy. I really do sleep deeper and through the night when I turn on my relaxing river white noise. I want to get a CD for the children now!

This is definitely not worth the price. It is one short recording of river sound .....didn't work for my insomniac 4 year old.

I am disappointed in the Relaxing River Sounds CD, and would not recommend it. There is very little variation in the water sound throughout the whole CD. My husband pegged it, by saying it sounds more like the blank sound at the end of an old vinyl album. I expected varying sounds of a rushing river, but unfortunately this CD does not provide it.

I love these CD's. This is perfect for my baby's sleep. We live in a very, very quite neighborhood and he wakes at a pin-drop. We started using these for naps and at night, and he falls asleep faster and stays asleep longer. Very soothing, the "Distant Thunderstorm" is our favorite!

Very relaxing to rest or fall asleep by, no added sounds , which I like.. just the sounds of water peacefully going down a stream, just the white noise was added and that seems to help in reducing any sounds you may have around your surroundings while listening. I enjoy this very much.

The sound is terrible. It is like a sound of a bad radio signal. All the CDs of the series (white noise) that I purchased (wind, river, rain, thunderstorm) sound the same. There is no difference between them. They all sound like a bad radio signal. It doesn't calm you. On the contrary, it is too noisy.
