Some of Gainesville's giants showcase their talent, July 29, 1998

This review is from: Relaxing the Undertow (Audio CD)
Two songs make this album one to listen to: "Motorolla" by bloom and "Van Gogh" by For Squirrels. Both provide a glimpse of the enormous talent each band possessed. "Motorolla" is perfectly-produced rock that takes the listener on an addictive ride. bloom's musicians are among the best I've ever heard at that stage in the game. "Van Gogh" is the final, most encapsulating release For Squirrels could have produced. Jack Vigliatura's voice performs so well on so many levels that I could listen to it sing in a vaccuum. "Van Gogh" is a beautiful, meaningful song that makes you remember how you felt the first time you heard it.
