4.0 out of 5 stars Chair works fine
I had little trouble in putting the chair togather. The massager did not work at first but I soon realized that it was because the cushion was not plugged in. I am satisfied with resutls.

1.0 out of 5 stars Avoid this chair at all costs
Wow. I had such high hopes for this chair. I read some bad reviews on other sites and thought maybe the reviewers were just too picky. WRONG! It seemed like a good deal and I wasn't expecting it to be perfect. 1.0 out of 5 stars Avoid this chair at all costs, October 29, 2010

Wow. I had such high hopes for this chair. I read some bad reviews on other sites and thought maybe the reviewers were just too picky. WRONG! It seemed like a good deal and I wasn't expecting it to be perfect. The 'leather' is pretty thin (not a huge deal) but there was already a slit in the seat bottom before I even took it out of the box. It took about an hour to assemble and the holes all seemed to be a little 'off.' I've assembled a lot of things in my day, but nothing this bad. The arms couldn't be fully screwed on. Then when I was FINALLY done assembling it, I (carefully) sat down, leaned back and turned it on. Nothing. The shiatsu (balls) stopped moving when I leaned on them. I only weigh 100 lbs!!! Worthless. I had to take it all apart to return it and by that time my hands were all blistered. SAVE YOUR MONEY. The shiatsu, even if it worked, goes in little circles in one or two spots if you flip the back pad (not up on down on a 'rail') so the kneading motion is annoying after about a minute. When the massage unit is off, the chair just does not seem solid. Since the arms were loose, I knew it was only a matter of time until they snapped off. So disappointing. I'm returning it and getting a more supportive 'real' office chair and a Sharper Image chair massage pad. I've tried those before and they are FABULOUS.

I have read the reviews and ALMOST did NOT buy this product. I bought this chair for my boyfriend for Christmas 2011. Assembly was little challenging but not as hard as described by some. The leather is fine, not that thin as described. Works wonderful! My boyfriend loves it and so do I. Whenever he is not around I use it!!! Worth the money I paid for it.
