I'll find out. It says it is shipping soon, I paid for one day delivery just to make sure I get the Nuketown 2025 map for Wii U (I will return it, if I do not as it is the only reason I am getting it from Amazon). I have no idea how or why they're shipping it early, but I guess it's not like many people can play it early anyway. Still will be nice to have a game in hand for November 18th outside of NintendoLand.
Activision themselves confirmed that there is no Nuketown 2025...yet. The pre-order by amazon was a mistake and Activision themselves made a mistake showing a photoshopped Wii U version on their website with the Nuketown 2025 pre-order sticker next to it. In fact, there is no Nuketown 2025 or Nuketown Zombies for the Wii U version...yet. As long as the Wii U supports real "Game Updates" or patches. I can't see why DLC won't become available eventually. But for now, no DLC. Note the pre-order information has changed to reflect that. A huge bummer indeed. You can google to verify the information, it was answered by Activision on November 10th. So relatively recent news and also the amazon pre-order no longer mentions nuketown for the wii u version.
EDIT: Although, thanks to amazon, there is a rumor that it will be released on November 18th. Amazon's emails sound very open ended like it could be pre-order dlc code or simply DLC. Free DLC, Pay DLC? The emails online doesn't say. This email posted online could be fake too. Some have said amazon has emailed them codes, which could be a lie.
Fact is...Activision has not confirmed anything, Nintendo has not confirmed anything and Amazon has removed Nuketown 2025 as a pre-order option from their page. So my common sense says, assume there is no Nuketown 2025 map until proven otherwise.
The good thing is the back of the blops 2 case for wii u specifically says "DLC". So that tells me they will have all of this, it just may not be ready at launch. Which is fine with me, as long as i get to play online and start leveling right away. Even if that fails, i can still play the campaign which i would probably otherwise skip for a few months haha. I will not give up nintendo.
Yea, I think everyone likes to throw around blame and knock systems and video games. But at the end of the day, this is a launch game for the launching Wii U. So there will be alot of trial and error, they have to figure everything out. I think, again as long as Wii U supports real "Game Updates" which so far I have seen no proof of (Wii didn't support updates, 3DS partially and poorly supports updates). As long as the Wii U supports title updates in a good proper manner, I am sure the game will get all the DLC. It will just take longer maybe as they figure out the whole Nintendo Online setup and everything. Treyarch/Activision already know 360/PS3/PC's setup. But they are still learning the Nintendo Online aspect. In fact, I think Nintendo is still learning about their own online service. But I think things will work out in the end. We know all this pre-order stuff will be available as paid DLC on all systems eventually, anyway.
