So does anyone know when the release date will be? Seems crazy to list it and sell it and have no idea when it'll be released.

After years (years!) of waiting for Avatar to be released to the masses on Blu-ray 3D, Fox Home Entertainment has announced plans to do just that. The Avatar Blu-ray 3D Collector's Edition will be released globally on October 15, 2012, with a North American release coming a day later.

"According to Fox's announcement (via Engadget), the 2-disc Avatar 3D Blu-ray Collector's Edition will have the original theatrical release and all-new packaging. Does that mean no director's cut? No extended edition?"
I already own the Avatar 3D (Panasonic exclusive). I hope this commercial release will be the extended version in 3D. Please oh please...

Will this have any of the extras from the deluxe Blu-ray edition already on the market? Doesn't seem like it will if it's only a two-disc set, and one of those discs is a DVD.
