I am wondering about the release date of the book No Easy Day: The Firsthand Account of the Mission That Killed Osama Bin Laden by Mark Owen. I'm seeing reports that this book is to be released September 11, 2012 not October 16 even for the Hardback and not just the e-book version. Which is it going to be? I would love sooner rather than later.

I have heard the same thing that the date set was the anniversary of 9-11 for the book, and wondered why Amazon shows a Oct. 16th date. I have no answers, only questions on the release date.

This article in USA Today clearly states that Penguin Publishing intents to release the book on Sept. 11. That date makes much more sense than an October release. Further, Amazon says that it will be available on Kindle on 9-11.

On Barnes and Noble they have the correct date of release, if you're looking to buy, and it's the same price as on Amazon.

I just purchased a pre-buy on here and it shows delivery between Sept 14th - Sept 20th. Sept 11th is the date it seems to me.

Not according to what it says on Amazon.com:

This title will be released on September 4, 2012.
Pre-order now.
Ships from and sold by Amazon.com. Gift-wrap available.

Now Amazon can not handle the pre-order and has slid the delivery date from what they advertised as 9/4 to 9/6. Sucks!

Al Curtis says:
They just pushed it back again to the 7th.
