And of course now it says December 2013. I have begun to doubt this thing will ever see the light of day. In the meantime, Ubi has managed to get their Rocksmith 2014 ready to go. I'm definitely going to see if that addresses the issues with the original Rocksmith as a learning tool (although it sucketh that after putting up with all its shortfalls we have to buy it again to get the game it should have been). Scrolling tab would be better than Rocksmith's crazy flying notes, but if they've fixed the impediments to practice I can deal with that.
Of course, if this actually gets released I'll probably cave and get both. :-)
I also prefer tabs instead of the rocksmith "flying notes". I think its easier to memorize the music, but i also don't think this game will be released. It was suposed to be released in may (i was already looking forward to play it).
This game was "supposed" to be released "winter 2012", then "spring 2013" then "fall 2013" then "before thanksgiving" now back to "fall 2013", and everytime they "miss" a release date, they claim they "never actually gave one so they didn't miss it" And now they have went completely media silent, they abandon their own website/facebook page/twitter account constantly, they lie on their pages when they do talk. So I wouldn't get too excited about this game anytime soon, if ever.........There is no mention of it for sale outside of this "placeholder page", there has to be a good reason for that.
I think this game will be garbage, because of its limited track list, and most likely lack of DLC support. Sure it has Slash, but if there is no guns n' roses, then it doesn't matter. I think the side scrolling will be more difficult for me anyway. Good luck to it...and I might pick it up in the bargain bin a few weeks after release.
I bet I'll have my dog trained on how to play a guitar well, way before we ever be able to have this game in our hands. This company is acting too much like a president/politician..... high-hoped promises with time dragging on producing no results :(
Another release date is gonna come and go with no Bandfuse. This is what, the third? Fourth? Delayed for over a year and still no go. Expect a buggy, half-assed program if it ever does get released, and one that will never be patched as the developer tries to recoup some of their losses by selling whatever they've got before slinking off into the night.
I don't know what Amazon's problem is with this game but as of today (Nov. 19) it has been released in the US. I am reading about people playing it all over the web and I follow a few of the developers of this game on Twitter and they are all celebrating "release day" today. It's weird, I order games from Amazon all the time, but I never had anything as odd as this happen when a game is released. What gives Amazon, where's my order at?!?
Huh. Maybe I'll check the local GameStop/Best Buy/Guitar Centers. Already canceled the Amazon order. I'll just have to give up the big 3 cent discount.
UPDATE: Best Buy says "not available", but both the local GameStop and the Guitar Center say they have it. We'll find out this evening.
One last edit and then I'll go away: The bandfuse team is responding to posts on Facebook about the availability issue "Hi - GameStop or Guitar Center have it available in Store and online. We are following up with other retailers as we speak. Thanks for your patience."
Having run this down at GameStop and spending only about an hour with it, no.
I can't believe I waited a year for this. It would have been little enough competition for the original Rocksmith (and that was none too good), but Rocksmith 2014 crushes this thing. There's just not much to it. And it took three years to do this?
I bought this today, and I have to say that I'm hooked. I played RockSmith 2014, and I found the notation way too complicated to read. I gave it a good chance too. I picked Bandfuse up, and I have to say that it's a much easier-to-understand way to show notes on guitar. The vocals with with my old Rock Band mic, and my wife joined in on a couple of tunes. She never does anything video game, but she had fun with this. I'm digging the song selection too. Lots of classic rock, and lots of more modern stuff in here. I think it'll take me forever to master absolutely everything in this game. It's already done a better job of teaching me a couple of songs in an hour than a $30 an hour guitar teacher took in two lessons. This thing is a bargain.
