I'll admit to being a bit of a Hazelnut. I've got all of their albums, from their self-titled "white album" to Absolutely, plus both live albums, BAM! Volume 1, and Drew Copeland's solo album.
This time, though, every member of the band pitches in with some songwriting effort, sometimes with outside help, sometimes solo. And you know what? It works. Every band member contributes his best effort to this album. What's more, it doesn't sound like a patchwork quilt of sound--it gels very nicely. All the songs are worth listening to--something I *very* rarely say about an album!--and several are excellent.
My personal favorite songs on this album are the title track, See Me Beautiful, and Ghost in the Crowd. Take a Bow, Run for the Hills, and Take it Back are also very good. And *all* the tracks on the album are worth listening to multiple times.
In the end, this album doesn't quite match up to my favorite Sister Hazel album (Chasing Daylight), but still is an excellent Release from Sister Hazel.
