RELEASE YOUR INNER NERD introduces a wide variety of apps and tools to help you save time and resources, and manage tasks more efficiently. Beth Ziesenis has personally examined each one, and provides amusing yet pragmatic reviews. The book is organized logically, covering office software, meeting and time management software, travel apps, finance tools, creative resources and much, much more. Along the way, Beth offers tips and testimonies from other users, and is candid over the apps' costs and/or limitations. Moreover, the book is clever in a way which doesn't detract from its credibility and is frankly, enjoyable to read. It would serve as a terrific reference book for any office, home or classroom with a computer because literally, there's something in it for everyone - no matter your interest or profession. If you don't have a copy, you're probably missing out!
Beth gave me answers. Beth’s book outlines the best apps, tools, and ideas for small business owners, administrative assistants, and independent agents who need to maximize their time. I am happy that I do not have to do the trial and error with the thousands of available apps out there, so this save time and lots of legwork.
Beth provides great tips on apps most people don’t know about, and best of all, her writing style is fun and funny. Yes, I know it seems like a step backwards to read a book on using technology, but this is a great reference guide for how to be more productive both at work and at home. Highly recommended!

I love, love, love this book! Gave me some great validation on apps that I already use, and great tips on apps that I didn't even know I needed.
The book is great read straight through (NB: in maximum nerd mode), but keep some highlighters and post its handy. It is also going to be a useful go to reference for when you need to find the right app fast (and free).
Beth has a quirky sense of humour. She makes an excellent nerd ambassador - and destroyer of nerd stereotypes in a single bound.
She also explains what, for example, security software actually does, and which one is good for who.
Additionally -> great speaker! Funny and fast moving.
There are many times when technology seems to make my life harder. This book allows me to take back control!

Well worth the purchase price. Organization of topics is good; I would have liked a chapter specifically labeled "Mobile Apps" but that's the only negative of the book. Read morePublished 7 months ago by ED
