Editorial Reviews

This book is for any singer passionate about using their voice to glorify God. It's relevant to those who simply wish to freely express themselves in meaningful worship, and it's an indispensable resource for those in dedicated leadership. This first volume of the series covers the significance of God's amazing voice instrument and suggests what God may expect of our vocal encounters with Him. It briefly touches on the basics of voice construction and function with basic strategies for vocal improvement. Finally, it deals with facing all aspects of ministry with skill and integrity. This writing is an absolute "must read" for worshiping singers everywhere.

"Many are in love with the idea of being a musician, but the scriptures speak of 'those who have their senses trained.' In this landmark book, Pam spreads a gourmet meal of the solid training, insight, and the practical disciplines essential in finding our God-centered calling to worship." - Karry Godwin, WorshipDiscovery, Inc.

"You worshipers know who you are. You heard Him call your name. Now, finish the process; grab and devour Releasing Your Inner Song. Pamela Bishop's tremendous insight, wisdom and technical knowledge will motivate you to take your place in your freedom and destiny!" - Antonia Lawrence, Singer, Songwriter, Worship Leader

This book isn't just for "professional" musicians or singers, it is for everyone with a heart for God. Pamela has a easy to read, conversational style of writing. It is like you are having a face to face discussion with her and not just reading a book. But, most importantly, she communicates her passion for her craft and her love for worshipping God very clearly and strongly.

It will help in developing your singing skill and draw you closer to God at the same time. She explains and illustrates the physical parts of the body that are used to create the sounds our voice makes in a detailed and very informative way. This is one lady who knows her stuff! I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

I highly recommend this book for all God seekers/lovers.

Here's a book about getting the best use out of what the author points out is the only God-given musical instrument--the human voice. If you're looking for practical insight into worship performance that glorifies God, ministers to others, and enlarges your own heart, Releasing Your Inner Song is a good place to start.
