5.0 out of 5 stars Review of a Toilet
Simple yet ingenious design. Sturdy seat and lid close securly over the 5 gallon bucket, so there is no danger of sliding off, or sinking into the bucket while completing your business. Just don't try to transport the bucket any great distance if you filled it, because the seat lid is not a liquid tight seal.

3.0 out of 5 stars A pot to pee in...
Once receiving this item I realized I would have been better off buying just the tiolet seat and getting a taller 7 gallon bucket at the hardware store so I wouldn't have to stoop so low. This is a hurricane emergency item for me so I have not actually used it but it's not too hard to imagine. I also purchased biohazard bags from another company to use with it. If I...

For easier clean-up, I would recommend using small trash bags as liners for each use. When you're done simply remove the liner, tie-up, throw away, and install a new one. Does away with the odor and mess.

Very useful when your camping and nature comes calling at 3 AM, when the bathroom is a mile down the road.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved the Luggable Loo, August 16, 2006
By
The Luggable Loo is great for camping. It is convenient to have a portable toilet in your tent. It saves you the trouble of getting dressed and walking to the bathroom in the middle of the night. It is comfortable to sit on. I lined it with a plastic bag with kitty litter in it. The kitty litter absorbed the liquid, and I just tied up the bag and threw it away. This is a great product.

This is a hurricane emergency item for me so I have not actually used it but it's not too hard to imagine. I also purchased biohazard bags from another company to use with it. If I need to use the luggable loo, I'll just thow a scoop of clumping cat litter in there to keep the stink down and absorb any liquid. I think my cats will be eyeing me rather funny.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome invention, July 2, 2008
This review is from: Reliance Products Luggable Loo Portable 5 Gallon Toilet (Sports)
Used this when camping. It has a snug lid and a flip down top, just like a toilet seat and very light. I read all the reviews and liked the one where you line it with a 13 gallon trashbag and put about a cup of kitty litter on the bottom. Worked awesome, was the best investment I've made in a while. I'm alittle on the heavy side and it was very sturdy.

Say goodbye to dirty stinky porta-johns!!! Wow! I am so excited about this product!!! It was my most valuable possession during the last festival I vended at. The double doodie bags are a must-have addition to this portable toilet. I actually missed it after packing it up and needing to use the restroom during my drive back! Put this inside your tent or portable shower room, and you will love it. It will pay for itself the very first time your bum hits it! The seat is comfortable, at a reasonable height, and the lid snaps down on it nicely. I have and will recommend this product to anyone who is away from a "real" toilet for any length of time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Consideration for Preparedness .. its not just about 'food' !, November 2, 2008
This review is from: Reliance Products Luggable Loo Portable 5 Gallon Toilet (Sports)
Being prepared with foodstuffs for a disaster is a great idea. But ... once you've satisfied your hunger ... how do you handle the subject of a potty call where there is nowhere to .. uh ... eliminate?

Luggable Loo is a wonderful choice. It's comfortable, portable and sanitary. Easier if you use a plastic liner, so clean up is a cinch. Biohazard bags are available but costly. We use simple trash bags, tie a knot in the bottom so leaking is not a problem. Thirteen gallon size bags seem to work well and fit securely under the seat. This simplifies disposal after each use.

We find this handy on our little boat, as well as when we go camping outdoors. It fits nicely in a tent, and is an excellent survival tool in the case where you have to leave because of a diaster -- hurricanes are prevalent in our area. However, it will work well in any situation where bathrooms are not available. Hey .. it's all about comfort. And this little item has it!

I was beginning to remodel my bathroom and I knew I would need a toilet to use so I ordered Luggable Loo Portable toilet and am I ever glad that I did. No one knew I was without a toilet and I could use it anytime I wished. I think all houses should have one for a back up in case of emergencies.

I ordered this product used it for a camping trip for our family. It showed it was going to arrive a day later than we were supposed to leave so I paid $49.99 to another company for something that was essentially the same with a different lid system in order to have in time for our camping trip. I ended up getting both in time for camping trip so... the more expensive one The Commode, was not as user friendly as this luggable loo - I ended up giving the more expensive one to friends & we kept the luggable loo for ourselves. We used Wag Bag's with it & they actually kept the oder down enough that we were able to use one for about 48 hours each before changing it. I love this item & will use it every year when we go camping! It holds adult weight with no problem!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Boat Potty, October 27, 2007
This review is from: Reliance Products Luggable Loo Portable 5 Gallon Toilet (Sports)
I gave this to my parents for their pontoon boat. It gets used all of the time by their grandkids. You just pop the seat on a 5 gallon bucket. I purchased 13 gallon bags that fit right inside and can be tossed after each boat trip. Who wants to clean a potty bucket? I have used it too - works great. I also bought one for my car and my 3 children - but we never used it, so that seemed silly.

This portable toilet works great. I also bought a privacy hut, and placed it near my tent. I lined the bucket with a dozen small trash bags, and placed a bucket of kitty litter nearby with a scoop. I put about 3 scoops of kitty litter in the bucket. After each use, I tied up the bag and threw it away. I put three scoops of litter in the next bag, and it was good to go for the next use. It was great not to have to walk all the way to the bath house in the middle of the night!
