The adventure continues! Tia Carrere stars in the second season of the hit series RELIC HUNTER. College professor Sydney Fox spans the globe on a quest to rescue ancient and lost relics from the hands of disreputable treasure seekers and grave robbers. It's Indiana Jones meets Tomb Raider in the second season of this non-stop thrill ride!

5.0 out of 5 stars Second Verse Same As The First But With Grit August 16, 2011
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
After viewing the first episode of 'RELIC HUNTER'S' second season, you know you have experienced a big change. Gone are the HA-HA-HA-HEE-HEE-HEE antics which novacained the first season, the characters and storylines are much more serious and the production values have increased to the point of more exotic locales such as Paris, Hungary, to name but a few. There is a new Producer, Jonathan Hackett and Gerard Groce comes on board as executive Producer. There is also a new story Editor Charles Heit who collected some solid scripts for the season. The direction is conducted masterfully by a trio of talents: Paulo Barzmann who directed some of 'HIGHLANDER's best episodes, Ian Thoynton and John Bell. But the acting by Tia Carrere as Sydney Fox and Christian Anholt as Nigel Bailey has improved immensely as they embrace their roles with relish and bring a reality to their performances which no others could have done. However, my memory failed me as I was a bit premature in my review of the first season about Lindy Booth's character of Claudia leaving the series. She appears front and center in at least three of the seasons best episodes and abets our heroes with great aplomb. We also see backgrounds on our main characters as Nigel's brother joins the action in one excursion and Sydney is given a gift in the first episode in the form of a Relic Hunter utility belt formed like a pocket knife which folds out into a mini crossbow which gets our heroes out of deadly scrapes. You will also see guest stars such as Fred Dryer playing Sydney's father , a young Steven Bauer and Nigel Bennett who graced the three seasons of 'FOREVER KNIGHT" as the vampire you loved to hate, Lucien Lacroix. 5.0 out of 5 stars Just as good as I remember! June 6, 2011
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
Lots of times when you go back and watch a show again for the first time in a long while you wonder what you were thinking "back then"! That's not the case with Relic Hunter! Sure there are some moments where you need to suspend your disbelief, but if you are looking for a fun show, with some humor and a kick ass female lead, you won't do better than Relic Hunter. All three seasons are worth your time. They are reasonably priced for 22 episodes, sadly there are no bonus features. Many have called it part Tomb Raider and part Indiana Jones. I would somewhat agree with that, but I find this more enjoyable than Tomb Raider.

5.0 out of 5 stars Relic Hunter 2 August 22, 2013

The DVDs worked fine, no problems with the second season discs. Nice to see a 'female' lead in an action adventure series. I think it gives young women a role model. I would compare these to the Indiana Jones movies.

I love the adventure and the history of this item.
This show lets you be part of the adventure and shows you that history can be exciting.
If you like the Indiana Jones shows or Lora Croft you will love these shows.

4.0 out of 5 stars poor case choise May 29, 2013
By RW
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
When I opened the disc case I found all 6 discs loose and sliding around. Discs 4 and 5 had marks on the recording surface. I've played discs 4, 5 and 6 now. They play very well, and I have very much enjoyed them. I have placed each disc in an individual case, and will throw away the #$@%^ case they came in once I know discs 1, 2 and 3 also play well and I don't have to return them.
