5.0 out of 5 stars Relief Band saves the day every time
I bought the Relief Band about 5 years ago because I was desperate for something to help me when I fly. I wanted something that didn't require a prescription and didn't have all the side effects. This is perfect. I keep it in my travel backpack and never fly without it. Since I started using it, I have never been sick on a flight. It's a miracle in my book!

1.0 out of 5 stars I couldn't wear the band -the pulses were SO uncomfortable!
Unfortunately I was never able to test this product to see if it worked on my car-sickness. I turned on the band to the lowest setting (#1) and the electrical pulses were so irritating and uncomfortable! It was so awful that I only wore the band for 10 seconds before having to turn it off. Who knows if the product would have worked?
I suggest that if you are...

5.0 out of 5 stars Relief Band for Motion Sickness, January 23, 2009

This review is from: Relief Band for Motion Sickness - A16433 (Health and Beauty)
For the past 5 or 6 years I have used the Relief Bands for motion sickness and nausea due to migraine headaches. I cannot say enough about this product. It is highly effective for reducing motion sickness (adults and my kids)--flying, driving, boating. The Bands have 5 different levels to choose from. The feeling in the wrist is one of tingling, but, if turned up, it can radiate along the median nerve into the hand/fingers. I suffer from migraine headaches, and have found the Band to be effective in aborting the nausea (if I wear it early enough) and decreasing/eliminating the nausea (if I wait too long).

Bottom line: I am a tough consumer and do not give out many coveted 5 stars. This product is excellent.

4.0 out of 5 stars Worked great!, October 13, 2009

I bought this for my boyfriend who gets motion sickness from just about everything. He used this "watch" on a fishing trip in the Atlantic ocean with a friend. We have never been able to go out into the actual ocean before and fish unless the water was absolutely flat because of my boyfriends motion sickness. When we went out in our friend's 18 foot boat, the waves were 4-6 feet high. We were able to stop the boat and just fish off the side for over an hour without my boyfriend getting sick at all. The only reason why we went in was because I got sick!! This is such a great device and would recommend it to everyone. Yes, the price is quite steep, but it is sooo worth it. All sorts of doors have opened now that my boyfriend doesn't get sick. Now we can fly on a plane, ride a train or take a cruise now! Buy this item for sure, it'll be worth every penny.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works Great!!!, July 1, 2009
This review is from: Relief Band for Motion Sickness - A16433 (Health and Beauty)
I have motion sickness when I walk (just kidding)but point is I was going on my first cruise and was very anxious about getting sea sick as I have gotten sick on fishing trips and ferry rides and it makes for a very unpleasant experience. The cruise was to Alaska and I did not want any medication that would cause drowziness as I am on meds for back problems so the relief band seemed like the perfect answer. Truthfully I was sceptical but after reading 90% positive reviews I was willing to try and spend the money.
Well the very first morning of the cruise we experienced rough seas and I started getting queasy, I immediately put on the relief band and within 15 minutes I was sitting down eating a breakfast of bacon and eggs and feeling fine, a miracle I think not but this thing really works.
The only negative was that if you do not have it on tight enough you have to continually adjust it to get that tingle in the right location on your wrist. As for the nuisance of the tingle I have heard some people complain about, it is a small price to pay for the advantages of this little gadget.
The price can be much but hunt around online, I was able to find a new one for $100. I am so glad I purchased and used this thing, I may be deep sea fishing again soon without turning green.

I suggest that if you are thinking about getting this item to try and find someone who already has it so that you can test their band and see if the electrical pulses are comfortable or not.

5.0 out of 5 stars No Longer Dread Flying, March 18, 2010
This review is from: Relief Band for Motion Sickness - A16433 (Health and Beauty)
I have had motion sickness since birth. I used to be sick for a whole day after flying. I have now been using my Relief Band for years, and am no longer sick. I have also lent it to relatives who had gotten so sick they had to be removed from a cruise before, but went again with the band and enjoyed it! I am buying a second for my son for our vacation together, as he also gets extreme motion sickness. As for the shocks, that is how it works, the little shocks stimulate the brain preventing the brain from targeting on the motion. Since morning sickness is not motion sickness, I can see why that wouldn't work. I don't understand how anyone can think the little shocks are so annoying that you can't wear it. I could even sleep in a plane with it on. I even threw up on my honeymoon, so to be able to travel is well worth it to me!

5.0 out of 5 stars 100% Satisfied, January 22, 2010
This review is from: Relief Band for Motion Sickness - A16433 (Health and Beauty)
It takes a really Great product or really Bad product to move me into writing a review. The Relief Band is a product which I readily endorse and have praised to all who inquire. Admitted it's a lot of money to spend so I only bought one at first, but later bought a second for my husband.

I wore the device loosely as a watch for a week long cruise to Alaska. During that time, only two travelers notice/inquired about it. At any indication of motion sickness, I wet my wrist with water, pulled the band tighter and turned on a setting of 3 - 4. It's always necessary to wiggle it around over your wrist to find the correct placement where you get the desired palm/finger tingle. This tingle is a surprise the first time. It is one of those "OH ...AH" moments which can't be explained. It doesn't hurt - just surprises you.

I can understand that for some, it may not work and for others, it may be viewed as a "magic feather". In the last year, I have used it during flying, cruising, and after anesthesia. Given my extreme motion sensitivity, I am 100% satisfied.

Two things I feel that are important to remember.
1) The device comes with a tube of "conductivity gel". This one tube is plenty because it only takes a drop of gel. I found it easier to just wet my wrist. The moisture was excellent conductivity. Over time, your wrist sweats to provide natural moisture.
2) The devise requires 2 - CR2025 batteries. It usually comes with these batteries installed. You can easily buy these replacements at Walmart for a much better price. I used mine for 6 months before needing the replacement.

5.0 out of 5 stars Travel with ease, November 18, 2009

I have suffered from motion sickness in any type of transportation since a small child. However, now that I wear my Relief Band when travelling I haven't had a moment of discomfort. Thank you to the inventors of this little product. I'm forever in your debt. Just put it on, turn it on and enjoy the ride or the flight. Bumpy air, big waves, or twisting highways don't bother me now.
