Titralac is the best OTC item I have encountered.

This product was made in Australia for 3M Consumer Health Care, Saint Paul, MN. and is no longer made, it's discontinued!

Titralac is no longer made. see note at the end of this review. There is substantial price gouging of the remaining supply. Do not buy from this dealer or any other price gougers. You will just have to use a substitute and call 3-M to put it back on into production.
Titralac No Long Made

Titralac is no longer made. I called 3M and they said they stopped production of Titralac in October 2012.

Stores are just selling what they have in inventory. I have seen a lot of bottles on the Internet selling for $64 and one bottle was listed at $5,999. I assume these prices are set by some goofy "supply & demand models" that spew out prices that bring supply into line with demand. Since there is no supply, the price rises astronomically as people search for the product.

I gave the customer rep at 3M an "earful" to pass back to the Marketing Department who made this decision. The customer reps are taking comments and funneling them to the appropriate channels, they say. If you want to complain OR BETTER YET, start a campaign to bring back this wonderful OTC antacid, call 800-537-2191.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a substitute?

Tums has a new product out called "TUMS freshers." It's Calcium carbonate with mint flavoring just like Titralac. Check it out.

Titralac has been a household word and product in our family for almost half a century. We've tried several other antacids and, absolutely for us, none is as effective as this one! Friends we've introduced to Titralac have also been very pleased. I wish that it were better known, because it is not always stocked by the very small drug departments. Certainly good pharmacists know it and its value. Titralac is also a good source of extra calcium.

I had used Titralac a number of years back. Recently I developed an ulcer & was trying to find reliable relief. Pepcid and other newer products didn't seem to work for me. Finally had to go to the doctor who prescribed Prevacid for a month. Limited relief caused me to search for Titralac and could only find it through Amazon. Unlike Pepcid and some other products, and according to my doctor, Titralac can be taken in addition to the Prevacid. I find quick relief for immediate suffering. I was so excited to find this again that I bought both the Titralac and the anti-gas formula to keep on hand. I carry some with me to work where stress is the worst! I do hope that it stays around and plan to search that vendor through Amazon when I need more!

I began using Titralac in the mid-70's at the recommendation of my doctor, for relief of minor acid at that time. I got into the habit of taking one at bedtime soon after, and have continued doing that for 30+ years. Seems to have worked very well. I also have the yellow-lid variety for when I occasionally have gas issues. Other family members also use it. It's a sign of our times that 3M bought out the original manufacturer many years ago, then eventually discontinued it. With just a little bit of marketing effort, and maybe even name change, this would be a major seller for 3M! Incidentally, the empty plastic bottles are great for building hand strength by squeezing -- just the right size.

Titralac Tablets 100 Ea A great product at a great price. Everyone I've recommended Titralac to has been as enthusiastic as I am. It works fast and the results are lasting. I've been using it over 25 years and see no reason to change to one of the products hyped on TV!
