Book Description

May 30, 2006
By using the texts, scriptures, and teachings of most global religions, the author provides ample evidence in this book as to why religions must die. Most religions provide all the ammunition to use against them, while other belief systems are criticized by the author with reasoned argument and common sense thinking. This book offers the reader a choice: Abandon religion and walk forward into the light of rational thinking, or nurture religion and take a leap back into the darkness of ignorance, blind faith and superstition. Besides being a polemic commentary on religion and giving clear reasons as to why it should perish, it is also a philosophical work, written by a deist. It details the possible proof of God's existence and gives the reader an explanation of the meaning of life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another nail in religion's coffin, September 19, 2006
This review is from: Religion Must Die (Paperback)
Quite a book, quite shocking, quite disturbing, and also quite humorous. I have studied religion in the past and was led to this book by the increasingly popular Deist agenda. Deism being the rationalist's path to God, without a need for manmade religions clouding the way with false doctrine, lies, and laws to obey.

As for Stanit's look at the world's religions, we'll it's obvious that he is deeply annoyed and saddened that some of us have been fooled by the gurus, prophets, priests and scriptures which have darkened God's good name by attaching fear and wrath to the image of our divine creator. His words are saturated in venom and his sentences emblazoned with fury, but there is also humour there too. I was in stitches reading about the ludicrous history of Mormonism, Hara Krishna and Christian Science.

Highly controversial in his approach, Stanit mercilessly exposes the warped and twisted side of the world's biggest religions, and destroys their philosophical and holy credibility in the process.

However, Stanit doesn't just prove for once and for all that God has never written nor dictated any of the so called holy texts or revealed scriptures, he also gives us several metaphysical ideas about the existence of God and the reason for being alive. I'm not sure I agree with his unusual conclusions about the meaning of life, but I'd be far more willing to go Stanit's way towards discovering the answers to the big question of existence, than follow any purveyor of lies and deception sent by a church, temple, mosque or synagogue.
