4.0 out of 5 stars Astounding Look at the World's Most Influential Religions, January 26, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Religions of the World [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Ben Kingsley narrates this impressive 6 video set. The six programs take an in-depth look at the history and culture of some of the world's most influential religions. The programs are Buddhism, Catholicism, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism and Protestantism.

Each program contains beautiful footage of the religion's country of origin and provides a view of the religions through the eyes of today's followers. In an age when religion is shoved aside as unimportant by many, this is a refreshing look at the millions of people who still take their religion seriously. More than providing a basic overview of each religion's unique (but similar) spiritual beliefs, this is an interesting look at world culture for anyone interested in world history. I highly recommend this set for anyone with an interest in history, multiculturalism or theology.
