This study draws on archival documents, including verdicts, appeals, and resolutions found in the files of the Commission for Religious Affairs for the years 1945 to 1952, and personal interviews to provide a comprehensive portrait of the situation of Roman Catholic nuns during post-World War II communist Yugoslavia.
