Great Book,

I was really waiting for this book in any language I can read and so came this edition in English. Is absolutely wonderful specially for those interested in History of the Church or Religious Movements in Middle Ages. I wish it can be edited in Portuguese some day so it can be available to more students in my country. I really recommend this book.

This is a new translation of a work originally written in 1935, updated in 1955. Those interested in the historiography of this topic may find it useful.

Grundmann's book is really one of the first scholarly works on Medieval Heresy. This book is great for a starting point for anyone interested in studying heresy. That said, this book doesn't really answer the question why heresy took place or why certain ideas were deamed heretical. Also, some of the research is out-dated, but still important to know.
