I agree but think that is what makes it amazing.

Roc's cadence and voice pitch have a very monotonous, almost sleep-inducing quality, and the album almost plays like one long, mutating song.

This is an incredible piece of art by an amazing artist.

I really haven't been able to stop listening to this album since I first heard it in '12. This album is polar opposite to the music of the commercial scene [of today] & that's part of what makes it so dope. From the beats to the rhymes, I find the whole album very enjoyable. I would give it 4.5 stars [out of 5] if I could [if the drums were harder on some of the tracks, this would be an easy 5 star album]. But nonetheless, if you want that gritty [early to] mid 90's production & that "coke, pimp, & gangsta" lyricism [done in similar greatness of that era], you would be crazy not to buy this album.

Roc Marc is one of the illest MCs to come out in the past 10 years. He deserves to be mentioned with the likes of MCs such as Kool G Rap, Big Pun, and AZ. If you appreciate highly skilled lyricism I recommend this album.

Excellent word play - razor sharp lyrics, laid back gritty tracks... some tracks could have been more polished but a grade A for those folks who love that old east coast feel (and this coming from a Southerner)

This guy's lyricism and flow are incredible. I put him right up there with the GOATs (no exaggeration) in this department. He's easily in the 95th percentile on pure lyricism. The beats are also very strong.

But this is a weird album. Roc's cadence and voice pitch have a very monotonous, almost sleep-inducing quality, and the album almost plays like one long, mutating song. There are no individual "bangers." It may be that this is really ahead of its time, and perhaps the album works best if you just let it run from beginning to end. But I'm not sure.

Definitely a technically top-notch album, and yet I can't call it "great" or even "very good." Maybe it will grow on me.

You see, this is New York Hip-Hop.. this is the music that painted pictures for the world, like when Melle Mel spit "The Message.

Roc Marciano isn't necessarily trying to teach, or preach, but instead he hits us with random visions.. poetic scenarios intelligently brought about with clever wordplay; "suave.. CL-5, Grey in the driveway.. menage-a-trois' on friday". Roc is laid-back, his persona is smooth, never emotional , yes.. pimp-like. When i first heard '76' it blew my mind, It definitely took me to places in NYC i experienced as a child up until i became a man.. Let me try to explain.. Roc isn't describing exactly what was going on in 76.. It is his lyrical fluidity, his calm demeanor and his ill lines that put us in those forgotten places, yeah his voice is the music to the many soundtracks of NYC, so when we watch a movie we have cameras that show us.. but when we LISTEN to "Reloaded", Roc is the camera to our ears .. get it?

His production is sick. The beats on this album (75%) done by him) are so rythmically haunting that at times I get so drawn in that Im forced to transform into various street-modes.

A razor-sharp, flawless flow, magical and lyrical lines that show wit and a hi IQ, combined with heroine-laced and dream-state beats are the equations for a CLASSIC album.. a front-to back joint.. RELOADED will not disappoint you, unless of course your a trick..a lame or a total square.

This album, the feel alone, is a drive through the streets of Harlem.. Bed-stuy.. The BX.. any shadow-filled street in the rotten apple.. on a chilly October night.

"Reloaded" ='s Mack status amongst classic Hip-Hop albums

PEACE

Its refreshing to hear some poetry heavy rhymes over some abstract beats. Marciano lets the imagination flow right through the pen, no filters. If you are a fan of the REAL Hip Hop, this is something you need to add to your collection.

I welcome any authentic music in my itunes library. Roc Marciano brought that real ruff rugged and raw hip hop that my ears need to hear.
