4.0 out of 5 stars Classic '80s Romance!, November 4, 2003
This review is from: The Reluctant Lark (Loveswept, No 24) (Mass Market Paperback)
'Her dark eyes and haunting voice had earned gypsy-haired Sheena Reardon fame as Ireland's mournful dove. Yet to Rand Challon the young Irish-American singer was not just a lark whose brilliant plummage was obscured...but a flesh-and-blood woman whom he desired with all his heart. Rand barged into her life at a moment of crisis and whisked her away to his mountain retreat, where he wrapped her in his passionate tenderness. Under his sensual tutelage, Sheena became a whole person, fulfilled at last. Rand knew he'd taught her to spread her wings and fly free, but would her flight take her from him or into his arms forever?'

Basically, this is a Classic-Early Iris Johansen story - the powerful and handsome hero sweeps the troubled heroine away from her domineering uncle and his manipulative ways. She matures, and, in turn, transforms him into a better man.

This book is pretty hard to find (since it's so old) but I believe it's worth the wait!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book, November 24, 2010
This review is from: The Reluctant Lark (Loveswept, No 24) (Mass Market Paperback)
This is a great book by a wonderful author. The story is special because of the theme and shows the danger of letting your family run your career. Fortunately, the main character had a lot of courage and trusted the man who really loved her. Way to go!
