5.0 out of 5 stars So Far, So Good
Now I've only had this a week and so far I've had great results. I realize that it's a rebuilt machine, but I'm not grinding everyday. So for me the cost was perfect. And what I had it do has worked great. I'm very pleased so far. If I was using this everyday and pushing hundreds of pounds of meat thru the thing, It might be a different story, but for home user...

1.0 out of 5 stars Great Meat Grinder at first, then started to slip, now unusable
I have had it for only one week, so far so good. Even though it is re-manufactured, it looks almost like new, and works great. It's not as noisy as some reviewers said. Besides, you only need to turn it on for 5-10 min every time. So the noise is acceptable.

I am adding more comments now after using it for 5 weeks (about once a week)...

The driving shaft and Feed Screw start to slip. The shaft is hex-shaped (instead of square-shaped), which is a not-long-lasting poor design for such a small size. Once it starts to slip, it can only become worse and worse. I am afraid it will become unusable soon.

8 months later, totally unusable.

I cannot believe this is pro quality. I will not buy anything from WARING.

After recently bringing home 2 new kittens feeding them pre-made raw food was really hurting my pocket book, so I picked up this grinder to make my own. I am happy to say that it can handle most chicken bones (not drumstick or thigh though), and quickly grinds up boneless meat. When it's running it's actually quieter than my Oster blender I bought about a year ago. It's very easy to disassemble and clean, and is a nice size for storage on the counter top. The only thing that's a bit annoying is that the grinder plates will rust over unless you dry them immediately after washing and rub a little vegetable oil on them. The plates are very easy to change out mid-use if you need to, and the "reverse" function is nice to have, though I've never had to use it.

Powerful, grinds meat without any problems. Looks as nice in real life as it is in picture. Not quiet, but, having experience with different grinders before, I think the powerful ones can not be quiet. Recommend it!

It is a great appliance! We have had it for about a year and have not had any problems. In addition to excellent performance, it is easy to clean.

So glad (after reading the many reviews) I decided to take a chance on this refurbished model. Delivery was speedy, it was packaged well, and it looks like a brand new model. I have used it more than several times to grind meat, chop vegetables, etc., and have had no problems. Clean-up is easy. I hand-wash it and then put vegetable oil on the blades and wrap them in parchment paper to keep them from rusting. It is one powerful, stand alone model and so far, a winner in my book.

This was a nice little grinder, but it stopped working after we used it about 30 minutes. I suspect there was a problem with the remanufacturing. The company that sold it to us arranged for us to ship it back via Fed-Ex. I expect to see a credit on my next credit card statement.

Ground up a whole moose and then sold for $50 on craigslist. How can you beat that?
