The Canon imageCLASS D761 digital copier/printer is intended for businesses that need a robust copier with maintenance-free performance. It features Canon's exclusive Single Cartridge System, which contains the drum, development unit and toner in one easily replaceable cartridge. A 30-sheet automatic document feeder can accept originals up to legal size and reproduce letter-size documents at 16 copies-per-minute (cpm) and legal size documents at 12 cpm. Digital technology, through the touch of a single button, facilitates collating of multi-page documents.

The imageCLASS D761 also features Canon's Advanced Printing Technology (CAPT) for high-quality laser prints with a resolution of 600 x 600 dpi. For added flexibility and convenience, it supports both parallel and USB interfaces. The imageCLASS D761 offers fast, efficient paper handling through a 500-sheet front-loading paper cassette and a 100-sheet multi-purpose tray, which accepts a variety of media, including bond, plain and color paper, transparencies, labels and envelopes, for easy, no-worry operation.

The printer, contrary to Amazon.com representation does NOT come with a starter print cartridge. If you want to use the printer, you will have to pay for a cartridge before you can test it out. The printer cannot be used on a lan connection without first purchasing a very expensive print router sold by Canon. The cost of the cartridge and router exceed the cost of the printer/copier. Otherwise the printer works well.

The D761 is an excellent machine, but beware: as of this writing, the technical details list incorrectly states that the D761 copier has a zoom feature that lets you make copies that range from 50 percent to 100 percent of the size of the original, in one percent increments. That is, it says that you can make copies that are 101 percent, 102 percent, 103 percent, etc. of the original. But please note that THE D761 DOES NOT INCLUDE THIS FEATURE. The machine can make copies that are 50 percent, 64 percent, 78 percent, 100 percent, 129 percent, or 200 percent of the original, but NOTHING INBETWEEN. If a zoom feature is important to you, you will need to buy the D760 or some other model.

It works great for all our needs!!! Great purchase Great Price
The only thing I see is that you dont get 5000 pages per toner. even if you use less than 5% per page. I use 2% But With the savings on this product. We have compensated for that with another smaller printer for bigger jobs. Over all this is a great addition to our small home office and we are very pleased.
