I bought this on 7/18/08 when it was offered for $239 as an Amazon "Gold Box" deal. I'm glad I did, as it appeared to be brand new rather than "remanufactured," and in any case it has worked perfectly and has picked up dust that the Eureka Smart Vac I used before getting the Dyson didn't touch.

I like the clear plastic bin that catches the dirt and I like that the Dyson is bagless and easy to empty, but it kind of freaks me out to see how much dirt is in my environment and to know that I must breathe a lot of it in.

I had to phone Dyson right away after receiving the unit because the stair brush attachment that came with it was the wrong size for the unit. Not only did I get a live person on the phone almost immediately, a person who was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient, I got a no-questions-asked replacement brush shipped to me free very fast, and was not asked to return the wrong-sized brush that came with the machine. This exceptional customer service experience made me feel good about owning a Dyson.

As I said, I paid $239. Is it worth $299? I've only had it for a month, but based on my experience so far I'd say it is definitely worth $300.

I have been wanting a Dyson for quite some time. When I finally got tired enough of hearing my cleaning lady complain about having to empty my old vacuum several times every time she vacuumed, this Dyson DC07 came up on Deal of the Day. Not only was the price fantastic but the shipping was unbelievable (2 days). My cleaning lady came a couple of days later and was thrilled to see our new Dyson just waiting for her. She spent the first 30 minutes showing me how to work everything and how it compares with hers. Like I hadn't already gone over it myself. It was amazing how much "stuff" it picked up out of my carpet that first time. So far - a great vacuum cleaner!!!

I have an 885 sq ft apartment, and I had to empty the canister twice before I was done vacuuming. Nothing about the performance or look indicated that it was a refurb. Well worth it, especially since it's so much cheaper than buying it new!

This was a great purchase! Good price and the dyson came in like new condition. It cleans really well- I especially like how it adjusts on its own going from carpet to tile. It's a little heavy, but sooo much better than my Kirby vacuum. I just love the bagless system. It empties so easily and without me having to touch any dirt!

I knew this would be a fantastic vacuum cleaner when I ordered it, but I was blown away by the amount of "stuff" that came out of my carpet when I started to use it. The price was great, and the offer included free shipping, so I really cleaned up! I was worried it would be too heavy for my bad back, but it is great to use. I am totally satisfied! Thanks.

First and foremost, I ordered this vacuum on thursday and it was sitting on my doorstep the very next day!! Even though i got "free budget" shipping... it arrived a good 2 weeks before i expected it!! So kudos to amazon.

Next, the vacuum is amazing. I got it for $150 (total.. shipping was free). I never thought i would get a Dsyon (because of the absurd price) but you don't see these types of deals often. So instead of the usual Hoover, i figure, why not? And i am sooo glad i did... the thing is beyond amazing. Although, i'm not a fan of the purple color (i'm a guy... sorry), the vacuum can pick up anything. You really don't realize how much you leave behind until you use a dyson.

Seriously, buy one! (oh mine was "Remanufactured"... hence the lower price.. )

I bought this to replace a 5 year old Dyson DC07 (the motor died). It faithfully cleaned up after 2 large dogs, a cat and 2 young children.
Opening the box, this unit has only a couple of minor scuffs (that I didn't even notice until I carefully examined it). Aside from that, it looks brand new. Works like a charm, and I couldn't be happier.

When I needed a new vacuum, I wondered if I should just spend $80-100 at Walmart, and then plan on doing it again in a year or two. Or spend more money for a Dyson, and have it last for years to come. I'll tell ya, even if this machine only lasts several years, I have no regrets. Every time I use it I am amazed at the amount of dirt & cat hair it picks up! It is worth every penny I spent! I swore I'd never own another bagless, but this one is so easy to empty, and it's not messy. The attachments on board are great for drapes and furnature. The long cord let's me vacuum the whole house without moving the plug around. JUST DO IT! You wont be sorry!
