Ideal for pet owners and allergy sufferers, the bagless Eureka Altima boasts a HEPA filter that captures more than 99-percent of dust mites, pollen, and other allergens, as well as particles 15 times smaller than a human hair. This filtration is powered by a sturdy 12 amp motor, with an extra-wide 15-inch cleaning path and a spinning-edge brush that can vacuum right up to the edge of baseboards and furniture. The Altima eliminates the need to buy and change disposable bags, but unlike other bagless vacuums, many of which practically require re-vacuuming when you dump out the sucked-up debris, its easy-emptying dirt cup has no messy filter inside. Instead, the secondary filter is mounted on top, where it's easy to reach; it's also made out of foam that's both simple to wash and keeps its suction longer between cleans.
The Altima also comes loaded with tools to power cleaning challenges above floor level. Electrostatically charged to attract dust, a telescoping self-cleaning duster extends three feet to reach even cobwebbed ceilings, then collapses back to its original size. For corners, baseboards, couches, blinds, and even books, there's a crevice-cleaning wand, dusting brush, extension wands to add reach, and the hand-held Power Paw attachment with Riser Visor, whose powerful brushroll removes ground-in dirt and pet hair even from vertical surfaces like stairs and upholstery.
