5.0 out of 5 stars 80 inch plasma? Better!, July 8, 2005
This review is from: Remanufactured InFocus SP4805 ScreenPlay Video Projector (Personal Computers)
This DLP projector is the easy and affordable way to satisfy your flat screen desires. All you need is a line of sight from the projector to the wall or screen.

There are many connections, including component and DVI (from the VGA connector). This can project an EDTV picture, but it can scale down from real HDTV.

What makes this unit special are the guts that take those signals and creates an image. The 4800, for example, is cheaper because its image processor is made for slide shows. This is optomized for video. For your money, you won't see a better, large image. Anyway, most DVDs and video games only will go up to 480p (EDTV) anyway.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent value for your home theater, September 10, 2005

This review is from: Remanufactured InFocus SP4805 ScreenPlay Video Projector (Personal Computers)
Five years ago when we bought our house, we never thought we could afford to set up a home theater because a line-doubler projector was costing between $5000 and $10,000... but that changed when good DLP projectors dipped below $1,000. After months of research, I chose the InFocus ScreenPlay SP4805 mainly due to rave reviews and its 4000 hour lamp life (in low power mode, which is the default setting). It's been an exciting experience being able to watch movies, sports and play video games on a 100" widescreen. In my opinion, this Infocus model gives you the most features and the best performance for your money - highly recommended.
