I have owned this mixer for two weeks and have used it everyday. Baking and cooking has never been so easy and fun. I have made everything from cakes to biscuits to heavy double batches of yeast bread and I have yet to come across anything that will slow this machine down. It will plow through a 12 cup bread dough recipe like it was a small single batch. I purchased the meat grinder, slicer-shredder, and strainer attachment combo with it and it operates these accessories with no problems. I have made several recipes of sausages with the grinder attachment and this machine will grind up meat in nothing flat. I bought this to replace a Sunbeam Mixmaster that I bought on Amazon a month or so before I got this one. The Sunbeam was a 350 watt model and it would not hold a candle to this one even on thin cake batter. I have whipped small batches of whipping cream with this Kitchenaid using the wire whip and no amount is too small. Cosmetically, this machine did not have a scratch or mark on it or the stainless steel bowl when I removed it from the box. I could not tell it from brand new. To me the machine is not noisy at all, considering the all metal gear drive. I also like the bowl lift feature over the tilt head models. It took a little getting used to but I have no problem at all adding ingredients. I do not have a pouring shield and I have not found it necessary to have one. It is easy to add ingredients even without lowering the bowl. I would definitely recommend this mixer to anyone who loves to spend time in the kitchen. It will make your time much more enjoyable. The recipes in the manual are'nt bad either. I bought the Mixer Bible with 300 recipes and use it a lot. Good book to go with a fantastic machine.

My wife uses a mixer virtually every day. She said she couldn't be more pleased with it's power & performance & is totally happy. She also likes the variety of attachments available.

My wife had expressed an interest in the KitcenAid brand and so I bought this as an additional joke gift for Valentines Day (picked the color red for added emphasis).... She loved it! Said it was a great gift and wasn't at all miffed about the Valentines tie-in -:) She's baked more breads and cookies than ever before.

I've always used remanufactured Kitchenaid mixers, I had 2, that I used for about 5 years-- sold them,and are still going-- the only thing that beats a remanufactured one is a new one.

I love this mixer. It came in perfect condition. Not a scratch on it. I've made fondant with it several times and it was not a problem at all. Fondant is a type of icing that is the consistency of playdough. I would definitely recommend this product. It is very powerful and mixes quicker than a regular stand mixer. When I would cream sugar and butter until light and fluffy with my old Sunbeam stand mixer, it would take about 8 or 10 minutes. This mixer only takes about 3 or 4 minutes. I also like that you don't have to stand there and scrape the sides of the bowl while mixing.

Works great, lots of power, great attachmets. Only thing I whish is that I could throw everything in the dishwasher, otherwise I am just so pleased with it. Very nice little cookbook included.

I was "Wowed" by how competely my bread was kneaded. The mixing exceeded my expectations. My daughter and grand-daughter each have a KitchenAid. What took me so long to get one? The Empire Red looks great on our Black granite counter top.

This came DOA , but Amazon was good enough to refund my money and very quickly too I must say.

I have always wanted a kitchen aid stand mixer and finally I have one! Thanks to amazon selling the remanufactured ones! Came out of the box looking JUST like new and just in time for my son's 2nd birthday party! I didn't want the narrow bowl and I wanted a lot of power and the red is perfect.Thanks Amazon for the quick shipping and the great deal!
