Product Description

Amazon.com Product Description

This mid-sized food processor is ideal for serious cooks who need more than an underpowered mini model, but whose counter space is too limited for a bigger, more cumbersome machine. The five-cup capacity provides plenty of room to grate cheese for recipes, make salsa, chop vegetables and mince herbs, or even whip up a small batch of pizza dough. Despite the small footprint, the KFP300 is heavy enough to stay in place while it chops, and its sturdy, sealed motor base provides both stability and surprisingly quiet operation. It comes with two ultra-sharp stainless steel attachments to cover almost any prep need, including a chopping blade and a reversible disk that shreds on one side, slices on the other. The clear polycarbonate work bowl is durable and stain-resistant, and like the chopping blade and disk, it cleans up easily in the dishwasher. Anyone who’s ever tried to dig out the muck around appliance buttons after making a sticky batch of bread dough will appreciate the CleanTouch control pad, which wipes clean in a flash. Two controls offer a choice of continuous operation or pulse; an automatic brake stops the blades within a few seconds of turning the machine off. To save your fingers, the safety start won’t begin processing unless the lid is on and the bowl and cover are properly aligned. Despite its robust prep power, the KFP300 measures just 13.8 inches tall, 6.3 inches wide, and 7.5 inches deep; it weighs 12 pounds for shipping.

Editor's note: This is a remanufactured food processor. Remanufactured generally means that the appliance has been returned to the manufacturer, who brings it back to like-new condition. Some appliances may contain cosmetic blemishes. The manufacturer offers a one-year warranty on this remanufactured product.

Last summer my mom bought me a mini food processor, to augment my full size Cuisinart. I thought to myself, "what a joke". In using it, I became hooked with its convenience and ease of clean up. Just this past winter, a friend gifted me this mid sized Kitchen Aid processor. I put away the small processor and I haven't used the full sized Cuisinart since. This machine is quiet, powerful and so easy to clean; no sharp corners or crevices to trap food. In spite of its smaller size I can whip up a loaf or bread or pizza dough and chop all the toppings. It is esthetically pleasing and functionally flawless. Don't spend any more than you have to for one machine that can do so much!
