Uniden's DXI7286-2 cordless phone system offers 2.4 GHz analog signal operation, two handsets, and caller ID with call waiting capability. Even with two handsets, only one phone jack is required for operation. Simply plug the main base unit into a phone jack, and the extra handset will configure itself to "talk" wirelessly with the base unit.

All call features are accessed through the phone system's handsets, including last number redial, 10 programmable speed dial locations, and call transfer between handsets. Handsets are hearing aid and headset compatible, and each come with their own belt clip. A three-line backlit LCD provides access to 30 saved caller ID names and numbers. As an added bonus, the DXI7286-2 lets you view saved numbers even while you're on a call to someone else. Information can be displayed in your choice of English, French, or Spanish. Both base unit and charging cradle are desk or wall mountable. This factory-refurbished model is backed by a 90-day warranty.

I thought this was a good deal for my kids to have cordless phones, but the reception is not all that great, and the price wasn't that much cheaper than other phones. I guess they are good enough for the kids, but I would definitely not want to use them daily myself.

These are great no frills phones. They don't have alot of features such as an answering machine but they do the trick if you are not looking to spend alot of money.
