Worked for Me,
By
This review is from: Rembrandt 2-Hour Whitening Kit (Health and Beauty)
I purchased the Rembrandt 2 Hour White pack and began to use it before reading what others had to say about the product and, frankly, I didn't find the experience at all bad.No, it doesn't have a gourmet taste and it's not the most enjoyable thing I've ever put in my mouth but I certainly didn't gag and spit out the trays thinking I'd never try to bleach my teeth ever again. The flavor is not great and the gel is a little slimy, as glycerin tends to be, and there is a faint smell of bleach but hey, this is a bleaching product after all. As for the trays, they fit well enough and stayed in place fine as long as I kept my mouth closed with the trays tucked behind my lips. I popped a DVD into my computer and was a happy camper for the duration of the bleaching. I read the instructions and followed directions and after a couple of hours my teeth were actually brighter. They certainly weren't that blue-white halogen plasma glow that some TV personalities seem to enjoy but then again if my teeth were that freaky white I'd be too self-conscious to smile fearing that I'd burn a retina or two. Overall -- No gum irritation, no tooth sensitivity, and very little hassle for nicer looking teeth. The product did what it was advertised to do. I give it a solid four stars!

I took a few steps to make it hurt less...,

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Rembrandt 2-Hour Whitening Kit (Health and Beauty)
Yes, it worked and I took a few extra steps to minimize the pain. The difference in color was not as dramatic as in the commercials, nonetheless, I am happy with the result: noticeably brighter, more evenly colored choppers in only 2 hours.
PRICE: VERY happy with the Amazon price. I purchased the product under the Subscribe and Save option. My local grocery store is selling this same product for $24.99 plus taxes. Buying it from Amazon, I saved close to $10 with free delivery! PAIN: I have fairly sensitive teeth (I was in agony and drooling when I used a dentist prescribed whitening system). For two weeks prior to using Rembrandt, I used Sensodyne toothpaste. A half hour before, I took Advil (use whatever you know works for you), and continued with it thru the 24 hours following the treatment. I adhered to Rembrandt instructions to the letter: I used only as much gel as it was necessary (less then 1.5 ampules per each 20 min period); I placed the gel in the front lower groove of the mold, to pevent it from seeping behind my teeth; after insertion, I wiped extra gel from my gums with a q-tip. Also, I used Vaseline generously on my lips, to protect them from accidental contact with the gel. In between treatments I cleaned off and dried the molds, and rinsed out my mouth vigorously. Also, I did not cut off the holders from the molds. I found leaving them on made it easier and less messy to pull the trays out, thus further decreasing the time gel was in contact with my mouth. Last, but not least, I made sure I did not swallow saliva during the process, so as not hurt my throat with any excess gel. Ultimately, THE PAIN WAS MINIMAL TO NONE. EFFECT: My teeth are not paper white, still, they have a much improved brighter appearance. I will be using this product again. The effect did continue to deepen over the following 24 hours. Also, to help maximize the effect, I used a q-tip to distribute the gel in-between some teeth that did not meet evenly. Otherwise, the gel may not have reached those areas. CON: The molds are small! I could only cover six uppers! They should definitely add an extra inch to the length of each tray. Hope this helped!

It's real simple... FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS AND READ EVERYTHING!!,
This review is from: Rembrandt 2-Hour Whitening Kit (Health and Beauty)
I picked up this whitening kit because it was at my grocery store on sale for $5.99, down from $19.99. I decided to try it last night, kinda late, then going to bed afterwards. Before starting I carefully read every word in the provided booklet, even the FAQ type of thing.
Custom fitting the trays took some time, I set the faucet to hot, which was almsot to hot to touch. I dipped them in for 5 seconds like it says, it did nothing. I microwaved the water for about 30 seconds, held the trays in for about 15 seconds, and they molded perfectly. I used a very thin amount across the trays, like it says. I might even have used to little because after the full 2 hour process there was still quite a bit left. At the end of it all my teeth had bright white spots and lines all over... but if you read the book it'll tell you this is very normal and that it will go away in a few hours. When I woke up in the morning my teeth were all the same smooth white color. I had general coffee/wine/food stains, mostly where my teeth met my gums, and they were no longer there. I now happily have a smooth, simply white, shining smile that it's GLEAMING white and fake looking.

Only whitener that has worked for me.,

I have tried 7 products. This is the least expensive product I have tried, but after the results I would have paid double. If you are on the fence about this product, give yourself a treat and buy it. One important thing...heat and mold the trays to your teeth. I tried it without molding them to my teeth and got nothing. The second time, after molding to my teeth, I got FANTASTIC results. About 2 shades lighter, which is 2 shades lighter than any other whitener I tried, and they take weeks. Some people will have a reaction to the gel, but this will happen with any of the whitening gels. It's an individual thing. And for the great results after 20 minutes, a little discomfort would be worth it. Though I am lucky and never have any reaction to whiteners. Do yourself a favor, and dont waste your money on other strips, pastes and paint-ons. This will end your search and save you the hundreds I spent searching.

Worked better than I thought,
By
This review is from: Rembrandt 2-Hour Whitening Kit (Health and Beauty)
So, I went to the local Wal*Mart yesterday, looking for toothpaste and a toothbrush. While I was looking for them, I came across this product, and I specifically wanted something to whiten my teeth. Leave it to brutally honest kids to tell you that your teeth are a little yellow...
Anyway, I decided to give this product a shot. About $20, I couldn't pass up the deal. I went home, followed the instructions, and did 2 out of 4 treatments that took about an hour to complete before I had to go to a party this evening. Even with just the two treatments, I immediately noticed that my teeth lost the shade of yellow and started looking a few shades whiter. I came home, cleaned my teeth after a large Thanksgiving dinner, and finished the last 2 treatments of this product. And when I was done, I was surprised by how well it worked - it was only a shade or two away from one of my porcelain fillings. I asked for second opinions, and I was told that my teeth were really white. Success! I definitely recommend this product to anyone. Even if it is just a few shades, it does work. Does wonders for your self-esteem, too. I noticed a bit of Narcissus came out of me when I checked my teeth out in the mirror every couple minutes.

Good Value for the Money,

No, your teeth won't be glowing white, but I did notice a good difference after using this product. Considering the price of other whitening systems, and the fact that they take usually a couple weeks, I was more than pleased to get a decent whitening in such a short period of time.
I wouldn't use it right before a date, but the day before would be just fine. Some people get sensitivity, white spots on their gums from the peroxide, and TEMPORARY discoloration on their teeth. All of these usually go away well within 24 hours, as they did in my case. If you have a sensitivity issue, I would recommend the 3 day option described in the directions. I saw the most whitening in the first two treatments, so maybe that would be enough for you, anyway. One thing I really liked about this system is that it has plenty of gel for multiple treatments. One pack will be enough for me to treat once a month for three months, if I need to. You really don't need to use a lot of gel, just a strip on each mouthpiece will do- AS IT SAYS IN THE DIRECTIONS. Several reviewers with problems would have been okay if they had read and followed the directions. Bottom line, this is an EASY whitening system, with GOOD whitening, and is a GREAT value for the money spent!

EFFECTIVE BUT.......,
This review is from: Rembrandt 2-Hour Whitening Kit (Health and Beauty)
We've used Rembrandt products for several years now, and have always been pleased. We're also pleased with the results of this whitening process. However, we have found the trays not very uncomfortable and that they have a tendency to slip around a bit. For those who don't wish to spend the night with trays in your mouths this is may be the answer - if you can find the two hours!

Not bad but not dramatic for me,
By Mark Jones (Texas) - See all my reviews

I think some products like this work differently for some people. My teeth did not have coffee or cig stains so I wasnt trying to remove stains. They just are turning yellow as I age. I did see a difference but it wasnt a dramatic difference. More like a slight improvement. I hope to use the 3rd vial of gel to improve the results soon. I was hoping for a bright white smile I see other people have but I guess that might only be optained by a visit to the dentist. I have tried the colgate brush on gel and the crest strips. I would say this is the best results of the 3 products. It might be more about my teeth than the product though.
