5.0 out of 5 stars Very impressed!
I was hesitant to try this product because I'd used whitening products in the past with little success. But I was pleasantly surprised with this toothpaste. The label guarantees a whiter smile if used twice a day for 2 weeks. I saw an improvement in a matter of days! My teeth weren't too terribly bad to begin with, but I drink a lot of coffee and red wine, which...

2.0 out of 5 stars Honestly After One Months Use
Well, before I bought, I read the reviews, some folks said it was terrific, others said it didn't work. Well I honestly tell you, after one months use morning and night faithfully, I haven't noticed much diffference at all. I even got the whitening mouth wash too. Now I don't drink coffee, and I don't smoke, I don't chew, I have average teeth color for my age. But...

This review is from: Rembrandt Toothpaste, Intense Stain, Mint Flavor, 3-Ounce Tube (Health and Beauty)
I was hesitant to try this product because I'd used whitening products in the past with little success. But I was pleasantly surprised with this toothpaste. The label guarantees a whiter smile if used twice a day for 2 weeks. I saw an improvement in a matter of days! My teeth weren't too terribly bad to begin with, but I drink a lot of coffee and red wine, which discolored my teeth a bit. The toothpaste was painfree (unlike some whitening solutions) and worked extremely well - my teeth are noticeably whiter and I can drink all the coffee and wine I want!

2.0 out of 5 stars Honestly After One Months Use, November 30, 2010

Well, before I bought, I read the reviews, some folks said it was terrific, others said it didn't work. Well I honestly tell you, after one months use morning and night faithfully, I haven't noticed much diffference at all. I even got the whitening mouth wash too. Now I don't drink coffee, and I don't smoke, I don't chew, I have average teeth color for my age. But this honestly didn't work as significantly as advertised. It did however cause my front teeth surfaces to be sensitive and ache, so I had to occasionally place my warm tongue over them to stop the hurting on occasion. I've stopped using this product for a few days now and the hurting surfaces have stopped hurting and will probably donate the other two unopened tubes to a relative. Think I'll be trying a natural toothpaste now. I've been through so many others. I'm sincerely telling you the truth...but maybe you'll be one of those folks who get instant bright white teeth! Who knows. There's no gaurantee.

This review is from: Rembrandt Toothpaste, Intense Stain, Mint Flavor, 3-Ounce Tube (Health and Beauty)
I've always favored Rembrandt because I thought it left my teeth feeling clean and healthy. It wasn't until I went abroad that I noticed the full effects of Rembrandt.

A few years ago, I spent about three months in Europe, and about a month in, my tube of Rembrandt ran out. Not thinking much of it (and because I didn't want to go through the hassle of finding good toothpaste), I started using generic brand toothpaste. After a few weeks of using the generic toothpaste, I started noticing that my teeth looked yellower. Upon closer inspection, I saw brown stains on my upper and lower center teeth! Granted, I did drink more red wine, but the amount of "staining" foods I consumed (coffee, tea, etc.) did not change... In fact, I didn't drink as much coffee or tea during those months as I do back in the states.

When I got back home, I had to use whitening strips to get my teeth back to the previous white color, and I immediately started using the Intense Stain toothpaste to clean out the stains (previously, I just used the green-boxed Deeply white toothpaste from Rembrandt). Eventually, my teeth retained their original white hue, but I was shocked that a switching toothpaste could have caused such a noticable change.

I realize that there must be other factors, i.e., my foreign toothpaste could have been exceptionally low quality as it was provided for me at no cost. But still, I've not used any toothpaste other than Rembrandt for years, and no matter how much coffee/tea I drink, I'm still getting compliments on my teeth.

1.0 out of 5 stars Same red box, different toothpaste, April 25, 2011
After using my latest tube of Rembrandt Intense Stain toothpaste for a month my teeth were getting yellower, I thought, so I compared the new tube with an old one- different shape. I compared the ingredients in the new formulation with the old. The new list was more like my wife's regular Colgate toothpaste. The fact that Johnson & Johnson is marketing this as still a premium brand in the original box at a premium price makes me feel cheated.

Great toothpaste. I read some reviews about it being watery. When I got them I mixed them up within the tube by compressing it back and forth several times and I had NO problem! :) Very good thanks

I am English in origin and drink LOTS of black tea throughout the day. I've tried just about everything to remove the stains and overall yellowish tone but nothing seemed to work. Yet with Rembrandt Intense Stain, I could see a difference after just one brushing. And my teeth feel much cleaner in general. I am thrilled to find this product and recommend it highly.

Since I started using Rembrandt toothpaste I no longer have those unsightly coffee stains on my teeth. I would never go back to another brand, I am Rembrandt for life!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great at whitening but RUNNY paste, January 4, 2011
I've tried the Rembrandt Intense and the Rembrandt Plus Peroxide toothpaste for at least a month each. As an avid coffee, tea and wine drinker, I'm happy to report that both products whitened my teeth considerably better in a shorter period of time. Years of using Crest or Colgate whitening toothpaste never satisfactorily removed tea stains. Rembrandt did. Curious to see how my dentist will react on my next visit (I think the hygienist will have less cleaning to do!). I could not see any difference in efficacy between Intense and Plus Peroxide and they have a similar mint flavor, which I love. That said, I prefer Plus Peroxide because the Intense is watery and difficult to apply on the toothbrush. Perhaps the Intense should be reformulated to make it more of a paste, or else repackaged in an upright bottle with a smaller, more controlled applicator. Although Rembrandt toothpastes are more expensive, I think in the long run they will save me time and money in terms of fewer/shorter visits to the hygienist. I am eager to try the famed mouthwash next. If you wish to try the toothpastes before subscribing to Amazon, buy single packs at Rite Aid/drugstore.com or Target. I bought the Intense at drugstore.com and got the Peroxide Plus as a free sample.

beats crest and aquafresh who claim to make your teeth the whitest. This stuff really works and even for everyday coffee drinkers.

Nice taste, seems to do well whitening. Cheaper on Amazon. Saves me trips to the store, too.
