5.0 out of 5 stars Loaded with good stuff
This CD/DVD combo has tons of good stuff for the price of a regular CD. These are some of my favorite features:

-the whole concert in 5.1 surround
-the set list for this show is a great combination of songs from their last few CDs.
-the behind the scenes and "learn the songs" features are awesome for any musician. They all go into extraordinary...

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice Effort
Well, I see that David Crowder himself already chimed in with a comment on another review here. Perhaps we'll be graced with his presence on this one as well.

I've been a huge DC*B fan since the time "Can You Hear Us" was first placed on Christian bookstore shelves across the country. The band has always offered something fresh compared to the rest of the...

They all go into extraordinary detail on their setups, right down to walking through each pedal on their pedalboards! (for the guitarists). It's also great to find out about the more unusual instruments they have going on (i.e., toy robot, guitar hero controller, keytar, toy piano, etc.). Even for non-musicians, it gives you a great insight and appreciation for the music they make.

All of this is in addition to the fact that this band is wonderfully innovative and has a great sound on top of deep, meaningful, lyrical content. If you like DCB, you'll love them after this DVD. If you've never heard em, this is a great intro and you'll be left wanting more.

5.0 out of 5 stars The special features alone are worth the price, March 23, 2009
This review is from: Remedy Club Tour Edition (CD+DVD) (Audio CD)
It's hard to go wrong with this cd/dvd combo. Fans of David Crowder won't be disappointed. The music is fun ,upbeat, worshipful, and the sound quality is good. The dvd is well-shot, and if you turn on subtitles, you get lyrics and guitar chords, which is cool, but if you are a musician, the "Learn the songs" special feature is worth the price of admission even if that was all you got. Here's how it works: You get a menu that has all the band members names. You pick a band member, and another menu opens up that has all the songs on the dvd. Pick a song, and you get video of the band member you selected teaching you how to play his part of the song! They go through the equipment used, effects, etc. then show you step-by-step how to play it! Awesome idea! I play guitar, and it's really pretty cool to sit down (sort of) with David Crowder and have him teach you how to play a song. I hope more praise bands steal this idea (sorry, David). Get this, it's awesome!

5.0 out of 5 stars A remedy for worship stagnation, March 1, 2009

Catchy melodies, simple yet profound lyrics, edgy pop- rock worship. The David Crowder Band is so like the UK band delirious? in that their songs are intrinsically who they are. These are not songs for the studio but are fresh anthems for today. These songs slip in undetected and in the morning you awake declaring that the King is here.
The 5.1 and DTS sound on the DVD is arguably a more engaging listening experience than the studio version as most of the material is written for crowd participation. When the crowd exuberantly sings the refrain `La, la, la, la,` that excitement that this is more than just a concert is sensed each time you watch. New York (which is where this was filmed) is singing for the great King. There are a number of times where this occurs and you are drawn into that experience either singing along with the lyric subtitles (chords included!) or just being undone as you cry out with the violin interlude of `You are my joy'.

This is a perfect hits package of most of the DCB's music. Music that repeats phrases followed by lyrics that too are deliberately repetitive but always for effect with a delightful twist that is poetic in style (unlike the repetition of a 90s church chorus not knowing where to end!)

What great value to have the experience of seeing DCB play live in your living room and then to take the CD with you for car play all for this low price. Having recently seen this band live at the Parachute Festival (January '09 New Zealand) I was hungry for more. This package was just what I needed. If you have woken up a little late to this fresh wave of raw worship that is shouted out with Texan artistic flair - get this DVD and laugh with David and his honest, endearing and unbelievably melodic ways.

5.0 out of 5 stars Yes. Get this. Will not disappoint., December 24, 2008

It's been a long time coming. This DVD captures the atmosphere of the concert and since I was there at the Atlanta taping I pretty much know what it was like. Best concert experience ever. This DVD was taped in Atlanta and New York. Sometimes they will change locations in the middle of a song but you can't tell because the band is just that awesome.

It's hard to say what genre DCB is. Probably just 'awesome'. The special features of the DVD are videos of each band member explaining how to play almost every song from the concert.

You also have the option of using subtitles with chords while watching the concert.

If you weren't lucky enough to be at this concert, get the DVD and it's basically like you were there.

The DVD is great, my wife and I sat down and enjoyed this very much. And we got to watch our three year old dance to his favorite songs. If you like David Crowder or upbeat christian music, or music in general, you won't be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Helps me praise the Lord, December 9, 2009
This review is from: Remedy Club Tour Edition (CD+DVD) (Audio CD)
I normally don't like live music recordings, so when I received this as a gift last Christmas it took me until about a week ago to really give it a try. Before listening to this I had been listening to A Collision. I actually like this live album more than A Collision! It really puts me in the praising frame of mind. I am a stay at home mom and spend most my days with three kids age 2 and under. It's easy to get caught up with the day to day and forget to praise the Lord, but this album helps me get there. Hearing the screams and clapping help that, too (where in the past that type of thing was an annoyance to me). When my two year old hears the clapping and shouting she raises her hands and says "Yay Jesus!"
Thank you David Crowder for putting your heart into worship and helping others do the same. Thank you Heavenly Father for the gifts you've given our brothers David Crowder and his band.

5.0 out of 5 stars DCB Delivers, Once Again!, November 22, 2008
By
This review is from: Remedy Club Tour Edition (CD+DVD) (Audio CD)
I can honestly say that DCB is the only group who continually blesses me and impresses me with each new CD release. They never disappoint. I've heard it said, and read it, more than once that David is a goofy-looking dude. But, these comments are always followed by phrases like "greatly blessed by God", "incredibly talented", "like no other band ever", and so on. And I agree with every one. No one other than David Crowder can make you laugh, get you up out of your seat, take you to the edge of the throne with your eyes closed, and make you cry. All on the same CD, or the same concert. This man has indeed been given a ton of talent by God, and he in turn uses it for His glory. God bless you, David and the rest of the group.

If you're a fan at all, don't even think about it ... if you don't already own this compilation RUN to the nearest store and make the purchase. You will not be disappointed. Like the title of this review states, DCB delivers the goods again!

From DCB's classics such as "Everything Glorious", "Here Is Our King" and "O Praise Him" to new releases like "Can You Feel It?" and "...neverending..." this is a G R E A T CD/DVD! As a contemporary Christian band, DCB truly rocks!

Moreover, a very cool feature included in the DVD is that the band teaches you how to play the songs (including the "guitar-hero thing" that David does) =)

5.0 out of 5 stars DVD is worth buying the CD again, October 25, 2008
This review is from: Remedy Club Tour Edition (CD+DVD) (Audio CD)
If you already own the Remedy CD you know the songs. To really understand the heart of what these songs are about you've got to see them played live to a packed house of believers worshiping their Creator. "You are My Joy" didn't make sense until I watched DC*B play it live. I can't say enough about this band. David Crowder is truly a man after God's own heart.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great package., October 4, 2008
This review is from: Remedy Club Tour Edition (CD+DVD) (Audio CD)
As others have said, this is a great CD+DVD set. You get a full concert DVD in 5.1, in 16x9 widescreen format and you get an audio CD of the same concert. Both CD and DVD are well produced. Bonus features include a great documentary and little slices of time with each band member showing how they play select parts... I just can't say enough positive about this set, I wish every worship pastor/record artist would put out a package like this.
