5.0 out of 5 stars Remember Arnhem the story of the 1st Airborne Recce Squadron, March 25, 2002
This review is from: Remember Arnhem: The story of the 1st Airborne Reconnaissance Squadron at Arnhem (Hardcover)
Remember Arnhem is the story of one of the smallest but effective units in the British Army, and dispells some of the myths that arrose over the year regarding the Airborne Operation at Arnhem. Although the number of men who served in the squadron have slowly reduced, the book reminds us of the sacrafice that each member played in the ill fated Montgomery Masterplan.

Every man who served under the formidable Freddie Gough were proud to call themselves members of Freddie Goughs Specials

This is not about the big picture, but a labour of love by a former member of the Recconaisance Squadron who lost a friend at arnhem and had to ake a sabatical from teaching at a University in Scotland to produce a first rate read.
