JOHN LENNON REMEMBER is part of the Hear Music series sponsored by Starbucks.
The CD is stored in a double-hinged stock paper case that by opening the front cover reveals two b&w photo repros: John and Yoko at home on the left, John in front of a mixing board on the right. Lift this second half to find the CD in its plastic storage case at far right and a booklet with 10 pages of text glued to the middle section. Its front cover and the CD top are a metallic olive green color. A rudimentary nine paragraph bio of Lennon is followed by notes on each track and a b&w memorial photo from Central Park's Strawberry Fields gathering of December 1980. The most popular songs from several of John's albums are here. To distinguish this set from other "best of" Lennon collections, six non-releases are included, all of which were issued posthumously on the John Lennon ANTHOLOGY box. (The CD's notes misidentify "I'm Losing You" as the original recording.) Wonderful collection of musical history,

I got this cd for Christmas 2010 and haven't stopped listening to it since! I've loved The Beatles since I was little but always knew John was the most "eccentric" and outspoken of the group. This cd allows listeners to hear his most well-known and some unfamiliar pieces of his music. I had never heard of Mother, Isolation or Watching The Wheels. We even get to hear little Sean Lennon sing a clip from "Little Help" which is really cute. This made me appreciate John even more and respect his talent as an individual writer and human being even more. RIP Mr Lennon!
