Christopher Pike...I always wished I could meet this author in person to tell him how profoundly his books touched me. I am glad to see I'm not crazy and that 10-15 years later, I'm not the only one who will never forget his books and still remember the characters as vividly as the very first day I read about them.

I'm 28 years old, now, and still love re-reading this book. It's always been one of my favorites. What could be more intriguing than reading about a young girl, just like I was once, whose life ended too young?

Pike is the reason that I fell in love with reading. I hope that generations of teenagers since have discovered his stories. I'm now interested in reading his work for adults. Even this long after I first discovered his work, I still wish I could see some of his books made into movies.

I read this book while going on a vacation because I had nothing else to read... Now I am extremely glad that I did! I have read several of Christopher Pike's books, and I have enjoyed all, but I find Remember Me to be the most intriguing because of his individualistic look into death and the life after. It is a story about a young girl named Shari Cooper who dies and meets her old friend, Peter, who had died earlier. Together, they try to convince a cop who is looking into Shari's death that she did not kill herself and that she was murdered. She faces many dificulties while trying to perform this task including her very close brother's pain of losing her, old secrets about who she really is, and the mysterious way of life after death. Pike introduces many concepts of life and death, especially in the sequals of Remember Me. This is one of the things I enjoyed most about this book. Although it is sad, it helped me realize all the things I want to do before I die. Pike's aspects of life and death are overwhelming but comforting in a way. I think, What if it were true that we can go on and live after death? I think that you should read this book because it provides an excellent story as well as many concepts, ideas, and a happy ending (if there ever was one) about death. Shari Cooper is the perfect character for this book and Christopher Pike is the perfect writer for the job.

The book Remember Me, by Christopher Pike, is a well written book about a young girl trying to solve a murder. Her murder. From beyond the grave. I thought the topic itself was very unique and intriguing itself. The concept of a girl struggling to prove herself innocent of suicide was originally and moving. I really liked how Christopher Pike didn't lower himself like most adult authors, but wrote as if young adults have a mind of their own, a brilliant mind at that.

Shari, the main character, is at a party and is killed. The police and her family and friends are all convinced it was suicide, but Shari knows she was murdered. Evidently so does one of the detectives. Shari finds an old friend of her's from school on the other side. Throughout the whole story Shari and Peter are stumbling upon some of the most unthinkable clues pointing to the one person that seems the most unlikely. Shari and Peter know they have to stop her murderer before she murders again. The one detective who doesn't believe in Shari's supposed suicide is the first to realize the true killer. He exposes the truth leaving Shari a form of a debt. In the end, Shari does the most she can for him and ends up giving him the most precious thing of all.

I would most definitely reccomend this book to anyone who loves mysteries. Especially mysteries that seem complicated and twisted, but have the simplest answer that's right in front of your face. If you want a good thriller with a hint of romance, read Remember Me by Christopher Pike.

Remember Me is a book that I pick up every so often and read the story is that powerful. Shari Cooper is dead. She doesn't realize it at first but when no one seems to see her it's the only thing that makes sense. But that's just the beginning of her problems everyone thinks Shari killed herself. They think she jumped off the balcony but Shari can't remember.

She knows she has to go into the light but how can she when everyone thinks that she killed herself. Shari has to clear her name and discovers secrets she could have never imagined. A book that will make you think of life and death in ways you never imagined. Christopher Pikes best book to date!

For all the many wonders Pike has written, this is probably my favorite. Although the theme of the book, which is death, may seem a tad jaded and cynical, it is anything but. It offers a unique perspective on the after life; and what being alive truly means. I would say it is the type of book that gives you hope - without coming across as preachy - through the vivid descriptions and solid writing. It is something which touches the optimist in all of us, while still providing fast paced action and suspense.

This book tells the tale of Shari Cooper, a young woman whose life has been cut short after being pushed off a balcony by someone very close to her. She later resurfaces as a ghost, although she doesn't know it as a time. We travel with her as she visits friends and family; puzzling who could have killed this charming young girl.

What I especially liked about the book were the relations that Shari had with each of the individual characters. We really FEEL the close kinship she has with her brother Jimmy, or the brooding angst she had over her ex-boyfriend, Daniel. The characterization is dead on and painfully accurate, as each character has a unique voice in which they weave into the story.

All and all, a delightful tale, worth reading over and over, in my humble opinion. One of the best, you probably won't find something better in the young adult genre, that's for certain.

I wish I could give Remember Me an 11, because it deserves it. This was the first book by Christopher Pike that I ever read and it has hooked me for life. In Remember Me, Shari Cooper is murdered at a party and tries to track down her killer as a ghost. This simple premise leads to all kinds of fun, grief, revenge and compassion. Remember Me is a gripping book that will keep you reading 24 hours a day, yet it is also a book that makes you think and plays on your emotions. Whether you're a first-time reader of Pike or a veteran, I guarantee you will love this book. The sequels--Remember Me 2: The Return and Remember Me 3: The Last Story--won't disappoint you either. (P.S. You might want to set aside a little extra money to buy a second copy of Remember Me because you'll probably wear out the first.

First let me say that this book, in my opinion, is a 4 1/2 stars. This is by no means Christopher Pike's best book, which would be "The Last Vampire", no doubt.
Christopher Pike has an incredible talent and precision for details. I love the way he can make the smallest of detail into a major part of the plot, an excellent technique... especially in a murder mystery.
This book had everything in a good mystery, and more, when considering the fact that the main character was a ghost trying to solve her own murder.
As the book progresses, the storyline thickens and one cant help but be enthralled with it. I dont want to give anything away, but the end revelations are shocking, and you wont believe who the killer is. You wont be dissapointed!
The diolouge and characters are more than extraordinary, and all his books hold you captive and dont let go till the end, but I think there could have been some improvements.
During the novel, I felt little danger for the lives of the characters in "Remember Me", until the last 50 pages... where the story really takes off. Since they were ghosts, it wasnt like they could be harmed again.
Also, I was hoping for some more "spooky" interaction. Shari was a spirit, yet she couldnt do any of the cool things mosts ghosts are mythed to do, like fly, travel through doors and walls, and somehow communicate with the living. It was almost as if we were reading about an ordinary girl.
Although the story bagan a little slower than I'm used to with most Pike novels, I still loved it very much, and would reccommend it to people of all ages.

Young adult horror. Shari Cooper dies one night while at a party. She doesn't realize she's dead until the next day when her family acts like she isn't even there. Her death is ruled as suicide, but she knows she was murdered, and she sets out with the help of another ghost, Peter, to solve her murder.

Considering other young adult horror writers who were writing around the same time, this was a good novel despite some corny elements. Yes, it was very cliched. Yes, it was cheesy at points. But it was complex, was original, and definitely a page turner. Pike was also very good at displaying emotion.

You don't feel cold toward the characters. You may even find yourself remembering feeling these same feelings for people in your life. Definitely something that I reread (once again) in the future.

This books is great,the storyline is wonderfully written.The idea is original and it literally draws you in...I definitely recommend this book.It is very sad at certain points and you even feel as though you are in the story...Yes,it is that good...Nigel.

This is far and away Pike's best teen novel IMHO, full of the mysticism tinged with melancholy that sets him apart from other young adult novelists. For the record, the sequels are completely forgettable--this is all the "Remember Me" you'll need.
